"Ready?" Jimin popped, tying up his shoe and jumping up to face me.
"I..uh..."
He smiled at me instead, gently taking my hand with a slight glint of hesitation in his eyes that quickly vanished before he began to make his way to the door, softly tugging at me to follow.
I tried to think of ways to get out of the situation on the spot as I let myself be dragged to the car. But instead I found myself already in the car with Jimin already pulling out of the driveway. Think Seoyeon. Think.
"Where is it?" He popped, breaking my away from my mind trying to scheme a plan.
"Ahh nowhere." I mumbled, not really paying attention to him.
"Your interview.. is nowhere?" He repeated, his eyebrows furrowed on confusion.
"Huh? Um...no...I.." I fumbled, wanting to punch myself in the face for not being able to think straight.
"I know what's going on." He smirked, leaning towards me, his head inching closer and closer to mine.
"You do?..." I answered back. My heart was pounding inside my chest and my mind was filling up with ways Jimin could've possibly found out about everything. I doubt he did, but the look the boy was giving me made me have second thoughts.
"You're nervous." He smiled warmly, causing his eyes to squint shut.
"Am not." I scoffed, turning my head away and lifting my nose into the air as I crossed my arms.
"Are too." He sang back, laughing at me fuming next to him.
"Just drive already." I grumbled, trying to stop myself from smiling at Jimin adorably laughing.
"Where to?!" He said, pointing to the sat nav opened up on his phone.
I took it and switched it off, handing it back to him. "It's not far from here, just drop me off near that new cafe place." I responded.
There was no way I was gonna tell Jimin about the place where Bo Mi told me to meet them. I couldn't have him anywhere near them or in the same space as them. I didn't want to lie. I said no more lies. But here I am still trying to keep Jimin away. It's only for a matter of time. After today I am sure I will be done with them and I won't have to see him ever again.
"I heard this cafe is really nice," He piped as stopped at a traffic light. He stopped to turn towards me and smiled, "We should come here some time."
"There's so many things wrong with that." I sighed.
"Like what?" He slightly pouted, his cheeks puffing out.
"Like people seeing us together." I retorted.
"Ouch."
"Not like that." I said in panic, after realising he got he wrong idea. "They all hate me and I don't wanna give you anymore trouble." I muttered quietly.
"Well people can say what they want, I just want to try some cake with my friend." He scoffed, as he pulled into the street of the new cafe.
"You really don't care?" I hummed after signalling him to stop the car where I thought was right.
He shook his head and smiled, "Good luck, Hwaiting!" He cheered, holding up his small hands balled into fists near his face.
I nodded my head and smiled back, doing the same aegyo action as him before turning around and walking down the road. I heard Jimin's car make a U turn and I sighed out in relief. Thankfully he was gone which meant I could quickly sneak into the meeting place without having to be alert.
