It's been a month since the wedding of Luke and myself and no matter how many times I told myself that it actually happened, it still didn't feel real.

"So honey, how have you been?" my mother's voice traveling down the hallway of the packhouse as I stood in the kitchen with a fresh cup of coffee in my hand.

"Been fine mom." I said before slirping at my coffee and admiring my wedding ring.

My father gave my mom permission to visit for a weekend since her absence in my life left a little hole in my heart.

My mother and I were close, no matter if she always used to make me dress up and act like a goody two shoes.

My mother was like a soulmate to me. Someone who loved me no matter who I was or what I've done and I loved her more than life.

"If you keep on staring at it that hard, it's gonna rust off." my mom chuckled as she came to a stop next to me.

"Firstly mum, silver doesn't rust and secondly... I just can't get used to the fact that I'm a wife to someone." I smiled "A couple of months ago I was down in the dumps with no mate, nevermind a husband and if someone would have told me I'd be married before Christmas, I'd have asked them what they were smoking." I laughed.

"The Goddess works in mysterious ways my love." she whispered before coming to kiss my forehead on her way to the stove.

"What's for lunch?" I grinned.

"I was thinking stir fry?" she said tapping her index finger on her chin.

"Why not something like a massive piece of steak?" drool basically dripping from my lips at the thought.

"With the appetite you've been having lately, I'd say you were eating for two." she grinned.

"Mom. No. I'm not even 20 yet and you're already planning for grandkids. Not happening." I shook my head in dismay.

A sudden rush of nausea attacked my body as I doubled over.

Not here, not here.

Bathroom.

And then I made a break for it, running down the hallway to the downstairs bathroom and spilling my guts in the toilet.

No.

No.

This cannot be happening.

"Luke!" I yelled so loud I swear they would've heard me all the way to the other side of my old pack.

Not even two seconds later, I heard the floorboards to the hallway pound as someone came running down it.

"What? Are you okay?" he questioned, his hands in his hair as he looked at me with worried eyes.

"You better pray I'm not pregnant." I spat.

"Uhh and being pregnant is a bad thing, why exactly?" he smirked.

"Cause I planned this in the '21 years of age' category on my life plan!" I shrieked.

"Let's just get you to Vulcan you hormonal woman." he chuckled, swooping me up in his arms bridal style as I banged on his chest.

"It's not funny you jerk." I frowned, my lips curling down before laughing as he wiggled his eyebrows at me "You're such a freak of nature." I breathed.

"Your freak." he winked causing me to huff in annoyance.

Vesta's Point Of View

"How come we never get anymore intimate time?" Vulcan questioned as a frown spread across his face.

"Cause you've been busy delivering other people's pups?" I said in a duh done "And besides... We already have two. I think we should stop." I chuckled.

"But I don't want to." Vulcan whispered as his hands snuck up my sides "I want a whole football team. So they can be as good as the one and only Giuseppe Meazza. Man would that be great." he grinned, his lips pursed as he breathed in my scent and neared his mark on my neck.

"What the hell is going on in here that nothing's going on?" our Alpha's voice booming through the doorway as the door smacked against the wall causing me to yelp in fright as I tried to compose my flustered self.

"What do you want Luke? Can't you see I'm trying my luck here?" Vulcan sighed as he put his hand to his head while the other was on his hip.

"She's your wife. You'll see her at home and try your luck there... Right now, Lexi aka MY wife is more important than your dirty habits." he smirked placing his mate on the little bed in the corner of Vulcan's office.

"May I ask what's wrong?" I questioned softly.

"Pighead here is trying to ruin 'Lexi's life Goals'." our Alpha female grunted in an unladylike manner before slapping the back of her mates head as he looked back at me.

"Ouw!" he mumbled.

"What is she talking about?" Vulcan questioned, his mind probably as baffled as mine.

"Her mom was talking about her eating for two and she so happened to feel compelled to ruin the packhouse's bathroom floor." he sighed.

"I didn't even miss the toilet you jerk, don't lie!" she shrieked before smacking him again.

Newly married couples.

"Well let's have a look just to be sure, shall we?" Vulcan clapped his hands together before rubbing them. A habit of his when he meant business.

"Okay. Thank you." Lexi smiled.

"How long has it been since your heat?" he questioned.

"Doc, you know the answer to that..." she whispered blushing.

"Answer it, so I can write it down." he said sternly causing Luke to growl at the tiny bit of disrespect.

"Almost 3 weeks." she said, looking at her hands as she folded them in each other.

"And how are you feeling?" he questioned as he wrote down her previous answer.

"Nauseous like I've just had one of Lewis' disgusting burritos..." she stuck her tongue out while shaking her head.

"Then that is bad!" he chuckled "But we're going to do some tests. So Alpha, it's better if you wait outside please?" he smiled at Luke.

"Why?" our Alpha pressed.

"Because I'd like to keep my head when I draw some blood." he smiled sarcastically.

"Yeah fine, just hurry up." Luke grunted before storming out the door, banging it shut.

"I don't need to do tests to see that your pregnant, Lexi because of the little bit of fat that's been adding to your abdomen and breasts. But I do need to do some tests as to if it would be an easy pregnancy or a dangerous one which is most likely due to Luke being a hybrid." my mate informed her, his voice low and soft.

"Do you mean I could lose my pups?" she breathed, her hand instantly flying to her belly in a protective manner.

"If you aren't careful, it is possible."

Luke's Point Of View

It took an hour.

An entire fucking hour for me to be let back in... And from the grave expression on Lexi's face my blood started eating at my veins like piranha's.

"What? Why are you looking like that?" I pressed Lexi, my hands in my hair as I started pacing back and forth between the wall by her bed and Vesta.

"Okay so you know how nine months of pregnancy for humans are 3 for shifters?" Vulcan started "Well Lexi has 2 months before she gives birth to your children... And it will be painful... Because of what you are." he breathed, stopping before me before placing a hand on my shoulder and giving me a solemn look.
