Myi's Point Of View

After that fateful night in Unulao, we had a fresh start.

A broken beginning, but a fresh start nevertheless.

Thanks to Luke.

All the time Akua and I had been together in Unulao, it never felt right to have children.

I would always feel the danger.

But here, with this pack. It was different.

Even with Lexi and all her drama around, it felt safe.

And as I watched Kristina, Luke and Jason leaving with Maximus towards the Alpha home, I knew everything was taking a change for the good.

Three months ago, I wouldn't have imagined being here. With Akua and our son Koa, in the snow, being a happy normal family.

"Koa, look!" Akua pointed. "It's a snowflake, my boy!"

Koa giggled, his little laugh warming me in ways only a mother would understand.

"Shmofwake!" He exclaimed.

Koa was life. Reason. Perfection.

"Myi!" Sam called.

"Coming!" I yelled before kissing my son on his crown and my mate on his cheek, then padded across the snow towards my friend.

"We have to do something..." Sam whispered.

"What?"

"Please tell me you're not blind and that you actually did see how Kristina looked at Jason." she smacked my shoulder.

"Would it be a crime if I didn't?" I shrugged.

"Shame on you! Those two have been throwing signals for ag- uh oh! Here comes trouble! That doesn't look good, not good at all." she pointed towards our Alpha male storming towards the packhouse as if the Hades sent him himself.

"Any idea why he's going ape shit again?"

"I guess Liam is here an that he told her." she sighed.

"Who? And what?"

"Liam. Her best friend. As in the guy who helped us win the war against Marcus, Come on, Myi, I know I'm human and humans are stupid but this is dumb even for you." She grumbled.

"And what has he got to do with Luke being pissed?"

"Lexi's old pack and future depends on what happens when that devil enters his office." she breathed.
