I had spent hours getting ready. I wanted tonight to be special for Luke, I wanted him to smile and to have one of the best nights of his life, after everything he had been through recently I felt as though it was my responsibility. I wanted to look good for him, I wanted him to know I'd put in an effort.

So as I gazed infront of the mirror before me, I smiled, I looked good. I wore a simple jeans and oversized concert tee outfit, sporting this with a pair of white laced vans and a black fringed bag and leather jacket. My hair was curled and parted, and my makeup was vibrant, with a dark smokey eye and winged eye liner-and highlight that reflected the light above me.

Happy with the way I looked, I checked the time on my phone cautiously, I wanted to get to the show early enough so it was certain that Luke didn't miss even the intro to a song, I was late for everything, but I was determined for tonight to be perfect.

Knowledgable that if I didn't leave immediately we wouldn't be early for the concert at all, I texted Luke and informed him that I was on my way to his house, I checked my hair and make up one last time in the mirror before me, before saying goodbye to my parents as I left the house, and jumped into their car parked outside again, starting up the engine and familiarly attaching my phone to the aux chord that dangled loosely from the car radio, desperate to cram in any last minute lyric-learning before the show.

Being a singer made it fairly easy to memorise the lyrics to many of the good Charlotte songs that were to be played at the show, And i was proud of how much I had learned in the small amount of time I had-and I'm sure Luke would be impressed to, honestly, I thought the music was ok-but the sheer fact that Luke adored the band instantly made the tunes sound more appealing to me, and I could listen to the songs all day if it meant that I was listening to something that meant something to Luke.

The journey to Lukes house was fairly quick, and as I pulled up on his driveway, he ran outside without even a notifacation of my arrival-almost like he had been waiting for me to come, something that was cemented when I saw the excitement in his eyes, and a smiley Liz waving goodbye from the window

"Hey gorgeous" Luke beamed as he slammed the car door shut, he leaned over the cars gear stick and planted a gentle kiss upon my cheek

"Hey" I smiled back, reversing the car off the drive and beginning our journey to the small venue a few miles away.

Luke examined my phone hooked up the the aux chord, and I saw a smile smother his face in a further manner when I began singing along to one of the good Charlotte songs that was flowing from the car speakers at a sensible volume

"I see you've been doing some self-educating, Miss Linton" Luke chuckled

I smiled and began to tell Luke how much effort I'd put in to learn the lyrics and melodies of each song, and he was visually satisfied by my effort

"-you didn't need to do that baby" he giggled, extending his arm and wrapping it around my drivers seat

I took my eyes off the road momentarily to look and smile in his direction "I know, but I wanted to" I informed him "-if something means something to you-then I want it to mean something to me too" I blushed

Lukes grin widened

"You're the best" he said, before throwing his arms around my body, despite the fact that I was in the middle of driving

I laughed heavily at his inability to hold back his affection "don't forget it" I giggled.

We were now around 10 minutes away from the arena, and my veins filled with panic slightly as I noticed an up-and-coming traffic que
