A first experience... It's a scary thing, if I'm being honest, but it's also exciting, like a new chapter in the book you've wanted to read for so long. With this thought in mind and a smile on my face, I drag myself out of bed and prepare myself for this big, upcoming day - my first day at Vocal Academy.
===========================
Miku's PoV
With a bounce in my step, I walk down the street. Although the street is melancholy and monochromatic, every second makes me feel more nervous, and of course, excited.
My name is Hatsune Miku, and I'm a teenage girl who lives with her older brother, Mikuo. As of today, it's my first day at my new school.
My brother and I recently had to move house, partly because of his part-time jobs, and partly because we needed a better, more suitable place anyway. Because of the distance, I've had to transfer schools, and leave my other friends on the other side of the city...
I'm overwhelmed by emotions - happiness, fear, nervousness, excitement... the list goes on and on.
I quicken my pace the second tall, silver gates come into view. The place I'll be spending the next few years; the place I'll chat with friends on a daily basis; the place where my grades will - hopefully - rise.
There are butterflies in my stomach as I take a deep breath and step into the school premises, trying to push the overwhelming thoughts to the back of my head.
What will the others think of me? Will they accept me? Hate me? Tease me?
Earlier, I told my older brother about the fears that were whirling around in my mind endlessly, to which he simply smiled and said "Don't worry, they will like you."
I hope he's right.
I walk through the towering gates, and I'm greeted to people. Lots of people... Staring at me.
The second I walked in, everyone turned to stare at me, like I was a magnet that attracted their attention.
I could hear them whispering among themselves, judging me....
I pretend not to notice, and simply kept walking towards the building that stood ahead of me with an uneasy smile on my face. Before entering the building, I look up at it in awe.
Vocal Academy.
I took my class schedule out of my bag to see what subject I had first - homeroom, room 2-A...
I head into the building. I had enough time to find my class.... at least, that's what I thought.
Apparently, my assumption was quickly shot down, because as I told myself that, the bell rang.
I don't know where my classroom is. I find myself aimlessly wandering through the corridors, however with no such luck.
"Hey, are you okay there?"
A deep voice behind me makes me spin around, slightly startled. Before me, is a tall, blue haired guy, with a kind look in his mesmerising blue eyes.
Kaito's PoV
I saw a girl with long, turquoise pigtails that I didn't recognise walking through the corridors. Perhaps she was lost?
"Hey, are you okay there?" I asked. She spun around to face me. She studied me for a few moments, and I swear I see a faint blush appear on her face as she searches for an answer.
"Um, are you new around here? I don't think I've seen you around before." I state, smiling at the girl.
"Uh, yeah, I'm new... My name is Hatsune Miku, and I'm looking for room 2-A." the girl replied, her blue eyes looking into mine.
"I'm Kaito, nice to meet you." I held out my hand for her to shake, and she did so. "I'm just heading to room 2-A now, you can come with me if you'd like."
"Arigatō!" Miku chirped, and so I direct her to homeroom. The awkward silence between us was irritating. Miku looked like she was searching for something to say, but she couldn't think of anything.
We eventually get to our designated room.
"Here we are." I tell her, and Miku nods in acknowledgement.
"Arigatō, Kaito-San!" She thanks me again. I smiled at her.
"Don't mention it."
Miku's PoV
Kaito gave a smile that could melt even the coldest of hearts, before turning his back and taking his seat.
I'm about to go and sit next to him, but a girl with short brown hair beats me to it. Her brown eyes sparkle as she talks with Kaito.
I sigh and take a seat by the window.
Author: guess who's going through this book and editing the cHAPTERS :DD
Ah, nothing to worry about! I'm not completely changing the storyline or anything drastic like that, I'm just gonna edit my writing just to make it less.... cringey, because honestly these earlier chapters aren't the best.
Miku: Arigatō for reading~!
