A Fine Evening - #31

Last time: Luka got well again and Miku discovered a run of ice cream under the bush near her apartment.

Miku's PoV

Mikuo looks up from his work when he hears me come in.

"Where have you been all day?" he asks me, as I walk past him and I to the kitchen to put the ice cream away.

"Taking care of a friend, who can't seem to do it herself." I reply with a little sarcasm, and roll my eyes.

Mikuo narrows his eyes.

"I see..." He muttered, and then continued his studying session.

I put the ice cream in the freezer, which is half empty anyway.

"Huh?" I say, when I realise that we are pretty much out of food.

"Mikuo, we are out of food, including leeks!" I yell.

I hear Mikuo sigh.

"I'm busy at the moment. Can you pop to the store and get some things?" Mikuo yelled back.

"Sure thing!" I say, closing the fridge and then leaving the house.

I skipped down the street until I come across a small shop on the corner.

I went in there. Sure enough, it had everything we needed.

I took a basket and loaded it with food - especially leeks!

I went up to the till and paid.

I was about to leave the shop when I felt a light tap on my shoulder.

I spin around to see Kaito, standing there smiling.

"Hi Miku." he greeted me.

"Hi!" I smile back at him.

"Did you like it?" He asks, still smiling.

I frown. What's "it"?

Then I remember - the ice cream he left under the bush!

"Yes, I did. Thanks Kaito!" I said.

"Anytime." He winked, and walked away.

I frown as I remember the message he posted on Twitter.

"Just listened to Hatsune sing. I'm pretty sure my ears bled."

Did he not remember that or something?

I shrug to myself and walked out of the shop.

Boys can be confusing.

"I'm back!" I called ten minutes later, when I get back to the apartment.

Mikuo appears in the doorway to the kitchen.

"Awesome. What have you bought?" He asked curiously, walking over to me and peering into the bag.

"The norm." I say with a shrug, and take the bags into the kitchen.

Mikuo follows me in.

"I'll do it. You can go and do homework or whatever." He said with a smile, and started unpacking the bags.

"Okay. Thanks Onii-chan!" I call, and dashed into the bedroom. I sat at the old desk, pulled out my homework folder and began to scribble down numbers that make no sense, and the language of the periodic table.

Blah blah blah. Homework is so boring.

After what seemed like a decade, I have finished. I smack my pen against the table with a sigh.

I go on my phone and send a message to the group.

How is everyone doing this fine evening?

Feeling a lot better.

Miku01:
That's good to hear, Luka!

Tuna_Luka:
Yep. Iroha's continued to look after me ever since you left.

Miku01:
Haha, she's a sweet little girl. You're so lucky to have such an amazing little sister like her!

Tuna_Luka:
I know, she is. That's why I don't want to disappoint her.

Luka, that little girl really appreciates you.. you won't let her down!

Tuna_Luka:
I hope.

KagaLen:
Gtg now, I'm about to beat Rin >:3

Miku01:
Oh, okay.

Tuna_Luka:

Len's PoV

"I won!" I yell triumphantly, fist pumping the air.

Rin shot me a dark glare.

"You only won because I was texting Luka. And I was going easy on you!" she scowled.

"Yeah, sure." I reply, sticking out my tongue at her.

"Fine! I demand a rematch!" she yelled.

I smirk at my sister, putting the controller down.

"Maybe next time~" I say, getting up and walking off.

"HEY! YOUR JUST SCARED IN GOING TO BEAT YOU!" I hear Rin screaming behind me.

I'll just leave her to her little tantrum...

Rin: OKAY STOP STOP STOP!!

Len: Woah, calm down Rin. >.>

Rin: ........

Miku: Anyway.. Arigato and sayonara~!
