Skype Call Advice - #59

Last time: Luka refused Rin's help, and Miku, Rin and Len have gone to talk to Iroha and get more clues.

Iroha's PoV

"I'll tell you everything I know." I say.

"Thank you..." Rin says quietly.

All three of them look at me, waiting for me to speak.

"On most nights, Luka will get home from work from any time around six to eight, and then she will do some schoolwork." I tell them. "However... Last night was a little different."

"Luka told me this morning that she went to work straight after school, and was there until quarter past one in the morning. She then told me that she got back home at two, and did schoolwork until about five o'clock in the morning, and then went to sleep."

"She sets her alarm for six o'clock in the morning, so that means she would have had.... one hours sleep - that's sixty minutes. She told me to get dressed and so I did. When I went in the kitchen, she had made some toast for me, but not for herself. I was wondering why but I didn't ask her."

"I remember her being really, really tired. She kept yawning. I got a little bit concerned but she told me not to worry. And that's all that happened." I say, telling them all I can remember.

Miku nods slowly.

"Right.." she mutters.

"What's she doing at school that's so strange?" I ask. Miku looks at Rin. I look at her to, hoping she can explain the story.

Rin sighs, and fidgets with her hands. I guess she doesn't like being put in the spot.

"She was just really quiet and tired today. And at lunch she refused to eat anything. I tried to ask her what was wrong, and I kept on offering help, but she denied everything, telling me that she was fine." Rin explains.

"Oh..." I say.

Rin sighs.

"I'm going to be honest - I get worried about her really easily. I'm worried that she's going to hurt herself in some way or another." Rin says.

"Do you know the password to Luka's phone?" Len asks me.

I shake my head.

"No. Luka changed her password a few days ago, and she hasn't told me what it is." I tell them.

Miku grabs a piece of paper and scribbles down some numbers. She then hands me the piece of paper.

"These are our phone numbers." Miku explains. "If something happens, call me. If I don't pick up, then call Rin or Len."

I nod at her instructions.

"Don't worry, I will. Thank you, Miku." I smile.

"Thank you for telling us this information." Miku grins back.

Len stands up.

"We should get going now. Thank you, Iroha." Len thanks me.

"You're welcome." I answer with a smile.

"Don't forget to contact us if anything happens, okay?" Rin double checks with me.

"I won't forget." I tell her. Rin smiles.

"Thanks." She said.

"Bye Iroha!" Miku called, leading her friends out of the house.

Miku's PoV

As soon as I get home, I flop onto my bed with a sigh.

I turn on my phone, to see that I have a new Skype message come through, from Kaito.

I smile to myself as I type in the password.

I quickly type a reply, asking Kaito if he wants to Skype call.

He replies with a "sure!"

I press the call button, and pretty soon his handsome face appears on the centre of my phone screen.

"Hey, Kaito." I smile.

"Hello, Miku. How are you?" Kaito asks me.

"To be honest, I'm not really sure." I sigh. "I'm having a bit of a hard time with my friends at the moment."

"Oh, really? What's happened?"

"Long story short, Luka has stayed up all night last night working, and Rin got mad about it because she told Luka not to push herself. Rin is now really concerned about Luka, but Luka isn't telling us exactly what's bothering her, and she isn't accepting the help we offer her, either."

Kaito listens to me speak, occasionally nodding at what I have to say.

"I see." He says once I finish talking.

"Rin's worried sick that Luka will do something to harm herself." I tell him.

"Well, I'm not really experienced with friend issues, so this may not be the best advice ever." Kaito says, laughing. I giggle along with him, to. "But I'd say that you and Rin should be there to comfort her. That way she will know she has reliable friends that she can trust, and eventually tell you what had been bothering her so much."

I remain silent for a moment.

"Thanks Kaito, I'll bear that in mind!" I say.

"Tell you what, tomorrow during break time come and find me. Bring Rin along as well. We can discuss it further together." Kaito says.

I nod.

"Good plan. Thanks Kaito." I say with a smile.

"Glad I could help." Kaito smiles back at me. "See you tomorrow!"

"Bye, Kaito-kun!" I wave goodbye, and Kaito ends the call. I close the Skyoe application and go into messages, and I text Rin, telling her what Kaito said.

"I doubt. Does Luka
not trust us at the

"Hey! I didn't say
that!"          17:56

"So your point is..?"
                         17:57

"You know what, forget
it. I'm confusing myself
