Last time: Miku tried to stand up to Meiko but failed to do so, and reminded Luka of their fight, upsetting Luka.
Luka's PoV
"IA!" I force a smile at my friend.
IA sits next to me, studying me carefully as if she is looking for clues.
"Why are you up here? Last time you were sitting here was because you fell out with your friend." IA recalled the event.
"About that.." I muttered, tears falling from my eyes.
"What's happened?" IA asks.
I wipe the tears from my eyes before explaining what happened.
"Miku's upset because she thinks that Meiko is going to steal her crush away. I told Miku that Kaito would always chose her over Meiko, but she mentioned how I said something along the lines of 'you are nothing compared to Meiko' when we had the fight." I explain, looking at the view.
"Oh. Well, there isn't much you can do. You said sorry, right?" she asks.
I nod.
"Yeah. I took your advice and went to her house a couple days after the incident." I explain.
"Okay. Well, she's just upset. She might be taking her anger out on you or something like that, which isn't your fault, I can promise you that much." IA says wisely.
"Thank you, IA." I smile.
"I'll check up on you at lunch." IA says with a nod, getting up and walking away.
"Okay, see you then." I call. Just as IA leaves, I see Rin run through the doors. Alarmed, I quickly turn away.
I hear the sound of Rin running over to me.
"Luka! What's wrong? Why did you suddenly just storm off like that?" Rin asks me.
I sigh.
"Nothing's wrong. I'm fine." I assure her.
Rin sits down next to me, and to my surprise, Miku appears and sits on the other side of me.
She turns around and looks at the benches along the roof. "That's where you yelled at me." Miku states quietly. I swallowed hard, nodding stiffly.
"And this is where I punched you in the stomach, nearly sending you off the roof." Rin added, scratching her head sheepishly.
Miku turns to face me.
"I'm sorry I upset you. I was upset because of what Meiko told me, I guess I wasn't putting your feelings into consideration." Miku sighs.
"It's fine, Miku. It was accidental, after all." I assured her, combing my fingers through one of her long, turquoise twintails.
Miku smiles at me.
"We should probably get to class, otherwise we are going to get a late mark." She reported. Rin and I nod at her decision, and we all walk to out next classes.
===========================
Pretty soon it's lunchtime.
Nothing exciting happened during lessons, as per usual.
I rush into the canteen, and sit at our usual table. I get my bento out, and wait for someone to arrive.
That's when I spot my friend Lily.
"Lily!" I call, waving my arms and hoping she'd notice me.
She does notice me. Lily smiles and jogs over to the table.
"Hello, Luka!" Lily smiles. I grin as we catch up with each other, seeing as we don't hang out very often.
Pretty soon Miku and Gakupo come to join us, and Kaito, IA, Len, Gumi and Teto.
They all sit around the table, and we all have fun talking, laughing and joking around.
Rin's PoV
Sensei let me out of class late.
Urgh. Great.
I rush over to the table, and what I see makes my heart stop for a second.
Miku, Len, Luka, UTAU, Gumi, Kaito, Purple Hair, Yellow Hair, and Pink Hair With Weird Braids all sitting at the table.
Miku spots me, and her happy facial expression dissolves into a look of guilt.
I know Miku enjoys these little group hangout things, and I don't want her to worry about me, so I manage to pluck up some courage and force myself to walk over to the table.
"Hi Rin!" Gumi greets me.
"Uuu.... h-hi..." I manage to say.
I quickly take a seat next to Miku, moving my chair as close to her as I can.
"Are you okay, Rin?" Miku asks me gently, showing me a concerned expression.
"I-I'm absolutely f-fine.." I stammer. Truth is, I'm clenching my fists under the table, and I feel like I'm about to pass out.
I bite my lip as I watch everyone talk, laugh and joke. I last a good few minutes before I can't handle it anymore. I pick up my bags and run out of the room.
I run into the lobby, accidentally bumping into a girl who was on her phone.
"I-I'm sorry.." I whisper, looking at the girl. I instantly recognise her.
She.. She is the girl who was outside of our house..!
I shake my head, thinking it's probably just my anxiety.
"Watch where you're going, Kagamine." The girl replies, not looking away from her phone, and walks into the canteen.
I flop down onto one of the seats, finally feeling like I can breathe again.
"Rin-!"
Miku darts into the lobby, looking for me. I sigh as she spots me and runs over to me.
"Are you okay?" She asks.
"No, I am far from okay." I reply to her, deeply breathing in and out.
"I'm sorry!" Miku apologises.
"It's fine, seriously Miku." I force a smile at her.
Miku stares at me for a moment, before deciding to calm down.
"It's my fault. I know your the first one to worry about someone that's unhappy and I didn't want to spoil your enjoyment with the group. It makes me feel bad.." I explain.
"Rin, I don't care about that at the moment - your safety is more important to me." Miku smiles.
"Thank you.." I smile back at her.
Luka walks out of the canteen, and spots us sitting on the chairs.
"There you guys are." She said, "are you okay, Rin?"
"I'm fine, Luka!" I say suddenly feeling more energetic than before.
Luka smiles. "I'm glad."
Narrator: Let's end it there =w=
Rin: .... I'm not going to bother to name a comment at this point... >.<
Narrator: eh?
Len: Bye~
