Last time: Rin experienced her social anxiety yet again.
Miku's PoV
I feel kind of bad about dragging Rin back into the group.
Her face was drained of colour when we were all sat at the table.
I think for a second before speaking.
"Hopefully you'll get over it soon.." I mutter. Rin hears me and looks me in the eye.
"Yeah. That's not happening any time soon." She huffs.
"You never know." I smile. Rin raises her eyebrows, and shrugs. "Are you ready to go back?"
She instantly tenses at my suggestion. I stay silent, waiting for her reply.
"Come on.. everyone's going to think your Dandere otherwise.." I sigh.
"IM NOT DANDERE!" Rin yells at me.
"Okay, okay!" I say, covering my ears.
Rin eyes me before leaving the room. I follow after her swiftly.
"So where are we heading?" I ask her.
"You wanted to go to the canteen, right?" Rin says. I nod, smiling.
So, Rin and I are minding our business and walking to the canteen, when I felt someone push my from behind.
"Argh-!" I yelp, stumbling forwards.
I turn around to see Meiko, her pretty face pinched into a mean smirk of satisfaction.
"Sorry, I didn't see you there." Meiko says, laughing.
I sigh, fed up with her behaviour.
Rin eyes Meiko, her anxiety slowly crumbling away.
Meiko walks over to me.
"I thought I'd already told you." Meiko said.
I swallowed.
"Told me what?" I ask, crossing my arms and trying not to look as scared as I felt.
"Kaito is MINE. Back off." She snapped, pushing me again. This time, I fall to the floor, hitting my head on the ground.
That's when I hear Rin scream at Meiko.
"Hey! LEAVE HER ALONE!" She yells, standing her ground.
I pull myself up into a sitting position, watching the scene with blurry eyesight.
"Rin.." I say, but my voice breaks and nothing more than a whisper comes out.
Meiko looks at Rin and smiles.
"Oh, it's you, the Dandere girl who is scared to talk to anyone outside her friend group. Listen up honey, you don't belong here." Meiko says, crossing her arms.
Rin swings a punch at the brunette, and she stumbles back in shock.
That's when Len and Kaito rush out of the canteen.
Me and Meiko are both on the floor.
Rin is standing with clenched fists.
"Rin! What the hell?! What's happened?" Len exclaims, running over his sister.
Kaito looks at Meiko, who has fake tears in her eyes.
"Meiko, are you okay?" He asks, rushing over to her and completely ignoring me, "Come on.."
He helps her up and they rush off.
Rin looks at me.
"Are you okay?" she asks.
I press my hand against my forehead. I lower my hand to see it covered in a gross red liquid.
Blood.
"Uu.." I begin, and then everything goes black.
Rin's PoV
"Miku!?" I gasp, running over to her with Len following.
"Rin, she's passed out. What happened!?" He asks.
I don't respond. I kneel down beside Miku. I reach in my pocket and pull out a tissue, and press it against her forehead.
"Len, we need to get her to the nurses office. NOW." I say firmly.
Len nods and manages to pick Miku up, and we rush to the nurses office.
The nurse looks at us with a concerned expression when we burst through the door.
"What's happened?" She asks, noticing Miku.
I sigh.
"Long story short, she fell over and hit her head hard on the ground. When she realised she was bleeding, she passed out." I explain.
We lay her on the bed, and the nurse cleans her up.
"What's her name?" The nurse asks, reaching for a book and a pencil.
"Hatsune Miku." I reply, and watch as the nurse scribbles down her name.
Then the bell goes. The nurse looks at me and Len with a sorry expression.
"I'm sorry, I'm afraid you'll have to return to class." She says.
I shake my head.
"No. I'm not leaving my friend." I say firmly.
Len sighs.
"Rin-!"
"No!" I say, holding my hands over my ears like a child that doesn't want to listen to what their parents have to say to them.
Len sighs and looks at the nurse.
She sighs, defeated.
"She can stay. You need to go, though." She says, and Len nods, giving my hand a quick squeeze before he leaves the room.
"Thank you.." I say, sitting down on one of the chairs.
The nurse gives me a quick smile before turning around to her computer and filling in some details about Miku and her injury.
"So, she fell over and hit her head hard on the ground, correct?" She checks.
Well, that's one way to phrase it.
I simply nod.
The nurse types something. I lean back in my chair with a sigh.
I stare up to the ceiling for a good ten minutes, with the nurse asking me questions about what happened and stuff like that.
I look over to Miku, to see her slowly beginning to open her eyes.
Rin: Bit of a cliffhanger - let's end it there.
Miku: REALLY ._.
Rin: Teehee~ yep.
Arigatou and sayonara~!
