Making Up - #11

Last time: Rin ran out of the classroom in anger, and Luka, Miku and Len have to find where she went.

Miku's PoV

Luka led us to the door of the classroom. We walked out.

"So, where will she be?" I asked. Luka though for a moment.

"No idea!" She said, smiling sarcastically.

"Do you have any ideas, Len?" I asked, turning to face him.

"I'm afraid not... sorry." He said, looking down at the floor.

"It's okay, we will find her. Let's go." Luka said, and we followed her down the monochromatic corridors.

Rin's PoV

By now I just want everyone to get out of my way and leave me alone.

I CANT HELP IT!!

It happens quite a lot. I frequently have bursts of anger I need to let out.

It isn't fun!

I walked to the music room, which was - well, a music room.

I look around. There were guitars, keyboards, drums, ukuleles, violins, even shoulder keyboards!

I looked around in awe, suddenly getting the urge to just play every instrument in the room and sing at the top of my voice.

I wish!

Suddenly in a bit of a happier mood, I start humming a tune, and then start singing.

I paused, because two long pigtails had loomed into view.

Miku was standing in the doorway, listening to me singing.

"Ah-! Miku-! How long have you been there for?!" I stammer. Miku giggles.

"A little while." she replies, "you're an amazing singer!"

I blush due to the compliment.

Nobody's told me that before...

"Do you take vocal lessons or something?" A curious Miku asked.

"No, I don't. I do it as a hobby, I guess..." I shrugged.

"Just a hobby...?" Said another voice. Luka appeared in the doorway, with Len standing behind her.

"WAIT- YOU THREE WERE ALL LISTENING TO ME?!" I shouted.

"Yep!" Miku said cheerfully.

I look at Len.

"You have a really nice sounding singing voice Rin..." He said. "I guess I didn't know that because we stopped talking to each other."

Suddenly, all I could feel was guilt.

I stopped talking to him.

I got angry at him over nothing.

I caused everything.

"Len..." I said, "I'm so sorry. Truly. Maybe, we can out all this behind us.. and be friends?" I asked hopefully.

"I'd like that!" Len said, hugging me. He whispered; "not just friends - but twins."

I hugged him back. Luka and Miku were watching us with huge smiles on their faces.

Luka's PoV

Rin and Len. Hugging.

I think I'm dreaming. Well, I hope I'm not.

This scene literally looks like it was taken out from an anime and placed into real life.

Beautiful.

I think Miku thought so to, because she was silently tearing up in the corner. I nudged her playfully. She nudged me back.

"Anyway, we need to get back to class!" I reminded them. Rin groaned the second she heard those words.

"Do we have to..?" She said, sounding like a child refusing to go to primary school. I looked at her sternly.

"Yeah, we do." I said. We went back to class, our spirits lifted, and smiles on our faces.
