Last Time: Rin fought with Meiko while trying to stand up for Miku. However, the principal ironically walked in on the scene and sent the three to after school detention.

Rin's PoV

I am in the middle of texting something, explaining to the others how the principal should have at least listened to Miku's side of the story, when suddenly that baka [idiot] swooped in like an eagle and took my precious phone out of my hands.

I looked at him, to see that he is giving me that typical glare adults give you when you are misbehaving.

"Kagamine-San, I believe I have already told you that you are in detention, not at home." He remarked, his beady little eyes staring at me.

"Sorry, sir..." I muttered. He eyed me before returning to his desk, and doing whatever principals do in their spare time - probably making a list of punishments for people like Meiko.

Speaking of Meiko, she is sitting on the opposite side of the room, painting her nails under the coffee table that is placed in front of her.

Miku is sitting next to me. She is looking a bit overwhelmed at the change of mood and scenery. I take it she's never been in this sort of situation before.

She spots me looking and shrugs her shoulders. I roll my eyes in response.

What a way to spend your Friday afternoon.

Luka's PoV

"Konbanwa [good evening]."

I greet the customers as they enter the cafe.

My Friday part-time job is to serve at a small cafeteria that is just down the street from where I live.

The cafe is usually nice and quiet, so sometimes when no customers are around I can quickly get started on my homework, seeing as I have such little time after school.

All the customers seem happy enough, so I decide to go and wash some dishes.

I know, it isn't the most exciting decision I've ever made, but it needs to be done.

I quietly wash the dishes, bowls and glasses, soon finishing just as one of my fellow co-workers walk in.

"Luka-san, can you please go and serve a customer that has just came in?" She asked.

"Sure." I say, repositioning my bangs so that they don't fall in front of my eyes and walking out of the kitchen.

That's when I spot something that makes me stop in my tracks.

Long, familiar, gorgeous purple hair...

I shake my head. It can't be him...

That's when he turns to face me. He spots me and smiles a warm, gentle smile.

"Ah, Luka, do you work here?" He asks kindly.

I slowly walk on over to him.

"Um, y-yes, I do..." I say, taking a deep breath before continuing. "Can I help you?"

"I've just came to order a coffee, please." Gakupo says.

"Okay. I-I'll see to that right away.." I say, my cheeks staining with red as I stutter those words that I'm usually so used to reciting.

He chuckles as I dash back into the kitchen.

My boss turns to face me as I rush over to the coffee machine. He must have noticed my red face and quick breathing.

"What's up, Luka?" He asked, making me jump.

"Ah, nothing really.." I say quickly. He quickly sees through my lie.

"Who did you go and serve?" He questioned me.

I turn to look at him questioningly.

"Just a guy from my school." I reply simply.

He chuckles.

"I believe you think he's more that 'just some guy', Luka." He smiles.

"Wh-what are you saying all of a sudden?!" I shouted in shock, nearly dropping the mugs in surprise.

"I think you already know that." He grins, skipping out of the room.

I stare after him, my heartbeat quickening.

He knows...

I take a deep breath as I pick up the mug full of coffee, and gently place it on a small tray. I pick up the tray with shaking hands, hoping that I wouldn't trip and fall over, so that the coffee goes everywhere like in those comedy movies.

Wait a second... That way Gakupo will run over to me, ask if I'm okay and reach his hand out. Then, because he's so strong, he will pull me back to my feet and it would be so romantic...

I blink hard. What am I thinking?

It's probably nothing. It's probably just a stupid crush.

I approach Gakupo with my heart still pounding and questions running through my head.

"Arigato [thankyou]" he smiled, carefully picking up the mug and sipping some of the coffee.

"D-Dōitashimashite [You're welcome].. I hope you like it.." I say.

As I turn to leave, I hear Gakupo's voice behind me.

"Hey, Luka?" He asks.

"Yeah?" I say, turning around to face him. His long, gorgeous purple hair, his beautiful facial features...

"I was wondering if you wanted to go out tomorrow?" He asks me.

He is asking me on a date.

"Yeah, I-I'd love to.." I respond, hiding my blush behind a curtain of pink hair.

Gakupo smiles, happy that I accepted his request.

"Great! I'll pick you up tomorrow at lunchtime." He says.

I nod and smile back at him, before returning to the kitchen.

Just as I enter, I catch a glimpse of my boss flashing me a knowing smile.

I smile back at him, a smile that says thank you.

I spend the next half an hour fantasising over what tomorrow will be like.

"Okay Luka-chan, it's closing time." My boss reports, "thank you for your good effort today!"

"Arigatō." I say, bowing quickly before leaving the building.

It is a dark and cold November night, and the wind is biting at my skin, but I don't seem to mind - I'm too busy thinking about what tomorrow will be like.
