Last time: Rin stayed with Miku in the nurses room, after their fight with Meiko.
Len's PoV
"We're here." I say, as the taxi stops next our house.
I hop out the car, Miku climbs out slowly and Rin follows behind her.
I run up to the door and unlock it, holding it open for the girls.
Rin leads Miku through to the living room, and lies her down on the sofa. Rin perches on the end of it, and I sit in the armchair.
"So.. Are you hungry?" I ask.
"A little.." Miku murmurs.
I hop out of my seat and thrust open the fridge door. I pull out some leeks, and get some oranges and bananas from the fruit bowl.
I walk back into the living room and hand Miku the leek.
Miku smiles and takes the leek.
"Arigato Len.." she says.
I give Rin the orange and I sit back down on the armchair.
We eat in silence.
Soon, Miku falls asleep, curled up on the sofa. Rin sighs and looks at her friend with pity.
"Rin. I feel like you've not told me something." I say eventually. "What actually happened?"
Rin sighs, looking at me with sad eyes.
"It was Meiko." She said. My eyes grew wide.
"Meiko!? She did this to Miku?" I ask, and Rin nods sadly.
"That idiot.." I mumble. "You need to tell Miku."
"I will. I just don't want her to freak out. She will stress herself out more and hurt herself more." Rin says.
I remain thoughtfully quiet.
"You have a point.." I say.
Rin averts her gaze. We sit in silence for ages, until Miku wakes up.
She slowly sits up.
Rin looks at her friend with sad and concerned eyes.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
Miku sighed and shook her head.
"Nothing." She replied.
I get out of my seat.
"I need to go and do homework.. I'll catch you guys later.." I say, rushing out of the room and into my room.
After all, I don't want another detention this early on.
"Time to go through hell for a couple of hours." I sigh, pulling out a stack of homework. "That's an understatement. More like a years worth of hell."

The endless algebra and history notes are driving me crazy.
Eventually I finish and slam my pen against the desk.
"I've finished. I've won." I say, smiling at my victory.
I hop downstairs to check on the girls.
Rin turns to face me when I enter the room.
"Are you sure you were doing homework?" She asks, looking at the clock. "You were gone for ages. By 'homework,' did you mean a boss battle on one of your stupid games?"
"No, I did work for a change." I say, sticking my tongue out at her.
Rin rolls her eyes.
"Whatever."
I go to sit down on the armchair again.
"Out of interest, what have you guys been doing while I was gone?" I ask.
Rin looks at Miku, who is leaning back in the sofa half-asleep.
"I still haven't told her.." Rin says quietly.
Miku, bored of being asleep, looked at Rin with curiosity.
"Tell me what?" She asks.
Rin sighs, and looks at me, unsure of what to do. I give her a small nod, and she turns back to face Miku.
"It's about what.. happened." Rin said, and Miku raises her eyebrows.
"Okay.." She says, waiting for Rin to continue.
"We were walking back to the canteen and Meiko showed up, angry at the fact you hadn't kept away from Kaito. She pushed you over and you banged your head against the ground really hard. I took matters into my own hands, and I.. I punched her." She looks up at me and continues talking. "That's when Len and Kaito showed up. Kaito took care of Meiko and led her away. I ran over to check you were okay, and when you noticed your forehead was bleeding, you passed out."
Miku looks shocked at her story. As do I, for different reasons.
"You PUNCHED her!? YOU DIDN'T TELL ME THAT BIT!" I yelled.
"Shut up, Len." Rin hissed. She turns back to Miku. "Are you feeling alright..?"
Miku looks like she's trying to make sense of the situation, but fails.
"I don't know. This confusion is making my head ache." She sighs.
"Try not to think about it. Anyhow, it's getting quite late." Rin points out, looking at the clock.
"Oh?" Miku says, following Rin's gaze.
I sigh.
"Rin, have you thought about where Miku will sleep?" I ask.
Rin stays quiet for a moment.
"Um.. In my bed? I can sleep in the floor." Rin decides.
I nod slowly, but Miku has other ideas.
"That's not fair. It's fine, I'll sleep on the floor." She says.
"I'm not the one with a major headache here." Rin argues.
"It's getting better!" Miku says.
"I'll sleep on the floor. End of story." Rin says, and Miku sighs in defeat.
"Fine, but next time.." She mutters.
"Okay then, I'll see you guys in the morning." I smile, running back upstairs.
