Last time: Luka had a throwback to the night her dad attacked her and her mum.
Miku's PoV
"Wake up!" I sing, dancing around the room the next morning, however the only response I get from Rin and Luka is a sigh.
I narrow my eyes, crossing my arms with confusion and dissatisfaction.
"Oh, come on. Why are you guys so tired?" I ask, grabbing my hairbrush and starting to brush the tangles out of my hair.
"Late night.." Luka mumbles.
"Late night? What? We went to sleep at the same time, right?" I ask, confused.
Luka doesn't reply, she just turns with her eyes shut, obviously trying to get back to sleep.
"Nu-uh! Come on, get up!" I huff, opening the curtains and letting the sun shine through the window, lighting up the whole room.
"Hey!" Rin says, pulling her duvet over her head. "Why did you open the curtains?"
"Because it's time to W-A-K-E U-P!" I yell, dragging the duvet off of Rin, who sits up and gives me an annoyed look.
"Hmph. Fine." She sighs, giving in. I smile victoriously as Rin stands up and walks over to her dressing table, grabbing a comb and combing through her blonde hair.
"Good. You to, Luka!" I demand.
"But I'm tired..." Luka responds, refusing to open her eyes.
"So am I. But Miku's being stubborn." Rin growls.
I look at her and flash her an innocent smile. She rolls her eyes in response, continuing to comb through her hair.
Luka sighs, dragging herself off the mattress and yawning.
"Happy now?" She asks, grabbing her clothes, which are neatly folded up and placed in a pile on a chair, that is placed on the other side of the room.
"Mhm. Rather satisfied." I nod, giggling.
Pretty soon we are all dressed, and ready for the day.
"Hurry up and get off your phone, Rin! I'm hungry~.." I whine, looking at Rin, who is sat on the carpet on her phone.
"Urgh, fine. What are we going to make for breakfast?" Rin asks, switching off her phone and standing up.
"What about some yakizakana? [grilled fish]" Luka suggests.
"Or we could have gohan [steamed rice] or okayu [rice porridge]" I say.
"Well, let's go and see what ingredients we have." Rin decides, and we all rush downstairs into the kitchen.
Rin opens the fridge, and studies all the things that are in it.
"Well, yakizakana is out of the question." Rin reports.
Luka sighs at this bad news.
"I think we should just stick to okayu." Rin shrugs, shutting the fridge door.
"Okay!" I cheer. However, my happy expression is short lived, and soon replaced with a confused one. "Um.. How do we make it?"
"You've never make okayu before, Miku?" Luka asks.
I shake my head, chuckling sheepishly.
Rin takes out some rice, cups and a pot.
"It's simple, really." Luka says. "We are making three portions, so we should need one and a half cupfuls of rice."
I nod at her instructions, grabbing a cup and trying to pour the rice into it. However, I overfill it, and the rice goes all over the kitchen floor.
