Miku's PoV
I spent the rest of the day going over that moment, and the words he spoke.
Whilst I'm currently the happiest person in the world, I'm kinda worried as to how Meiko will react once she hears about all of this.
I push that thought aside, remembering what Rin had told me about trying not to worry about her.
I phone Rin and told her what happened. I could hear her gasp from other side of the phone, and then she tells me that she is very happy for me and that he deserves me.
I blush a little as I thank her, and end the call.
That's when I get a text message from Kaito.
It reads: I'm happy we are now official! Ily ^^
I smile at the message, tapping out a reply and letting him know that I feel the same way.
I hop on my bed and lie on my stomach with my phone in my hands, waiting for Kaito's reply.
He does reply, and eventually a little conversation starts up.
Soon, though, to my disappointment, he tells me he has to go and do something - homework probably.
"Don't go.." I whisper sadly as I tap out a reply.
I send it and then turn off my phone, a little depressed at first, but that bitter mood soon subsides and I recall the events from earlier, smiling from ear to ear.
==========================
"Kaito and Miku sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G." I hear Rin quietly sing to herself.
I look at her with a very unamused expression.
"What?" She smiles innocently.
"Shut up." I hiss. Rin growls, averting her gaze.
"I've forgot the rest of it anyway." She sighs. "I think it goes... Then comes an abrupt, tragic miscarriage. Then comes blame, then comes despair. Two hearts broken beyond repair-"
I turn around to face her, enraged.
"WHAT THE HECK RIN!? SHUT UP RIGHT NOW!" I yell.
Rin stares at me with wide eyes.
"D-I-V-O-R-C-E." She finishes off.
I'm about to argue, but decide to instead just ignore her.
"There's no point.." I mutter to myself, walking on ahead.
"No point in what?" Rin asks, running along beside me.
I ignore her, and carry on walking towards the entrance of the school.
"Don't ignore me." Rin pouts.
Again, I ignore her.
"Oh, there's Kaito!" Rin says, looking behind us.
"Where?" I ask, spinning around and scanning the school grounds for a certain blue haired boy.
"Ha, that got your attention." Rin laughs. I look at her, unamused.
"Very funny. In fact, so funny I forgot to laugh." I say flatly.
"Okay, I'll stop now." Rin chuckles. "We should get going to class."
"That's the most intelligent thing you've said today." I reply, agitated.
"Ooh, triggered~" Rin smirks. I pretend I didn't hear what she said and start making my way to homeroom.
Eventually we get there, after what seems like a decade. Rin has been using this time to get on my nerves.
I flop down at my desk, and Rin sits beside me. Everyone else is piling into the classroom, taking their seats and chatting.
I look at the empty seat in front of me; the seat that a certain pink-haired girl sat at a little less than two weeks ago.
I turn my head to see Kaito. He spots me and smiled and winks at me. I do the same, and we both giggle to ourselves.
Rin notices our actions, and that annoying smirk from before reappears on her face as if by magic.
"Don't say a word." I hiss, reading her mind. Her face falls and that smirk dissolves into a frown, showing a very dissatisfied expression.
"You're no fun." She sulks.
"Don't say that. I'm fabulous." I smile, flicking my hair over my shoulders.
"Shh, the teach is coming." Rin hisses.
I frown at that little nickname.
"The teach?" I repeat, but decide not to question her logic as Sensei enters the classroom and sits at the desk, ready to go through that same boring routine with us we do everyday.
Fun...
I don't pay attention to what Sensei is telling us, instead I just turn to look out of the window, currently in a world of my own, thinking.
Mainly of Kaito, but hey, who wouldn't - am I right?
I side glance at him during class. He was so focused he didn't notice. He stared up to Sensei quietly, listening. I smile to myself at his cute expression.
Ah, focus, Miku!
I gulp and turn my attention back into the front of the classroom, just in time, because Sensei has started to take the register.
Soon Sensei claims that it is the end of homeroom, and we are free to go to our next lesson.
Not quite sure what that has to do with freedom, but oh well.
Rin and I walk out of the room and start heading down the corridor.
That's when I feel something against my hand. Something warm and strangely familiar tickle the palm of my hand for a few seconds.
I look back to see Kaito had just walked past me, his blue eyes shining and smiling as he looks at me before turning around corner of the corridor.
I smile to myself and head to class.
