Chapter XLI

*(y/n)'s pov*

Nothing has really happened today. Barry, Aster, and me just hung out. We went to the park, came home and watched movies. We went to STAR labs to see Caitlyn, Cisco, and Harry. Now it's night time and Aster is in bed. I woke up to the sounds of quiet sniffling. I saw Barry sitting on the bed feet off the side back to me. I heard quiet sniffles and his hand would occasionally go to his face to wipe I guess. I'm done with this, I have to talk to him. I carefully sat up and moved next to him. Barry saw me and quickly wiped his tears."Hey, you need your sleep. Go back to sleep honey." He said gently. I shook my head and met his eyes with mine."Why are you crying?" I question him."Were you awake and heard me?" He asks me and I nodded. Barry's expression had embarrassment, fear, and guilt."I couldn't sleep..." He muttered. I cut him off before he could go further with his excuse."We need to talk about it, ok? I know it hurts, I know you miss him. I miss him to, we all do. He was my father in law Barry. He'd always call you slugger, helped you get over your mom's death, helped you when you were out of speed force. He has been with you, all of us. All of us are here for you, Caitlyn, Cisco, Iris, Joe, maybe even Harry and Jesse, and me...You can get through this, just like with your mom. You know your mom loves you, your dad does to. It'll take time to-" Barry interrupted my little speech with a long, and passionate kiss. I kissed back equalling the same amount of emotion. After a while he pulled away so we could breathe."You're right. I should be living my life and not spending the rest of it crying myself to sleep. My dad wouldn't want that. He would want me to move on and live my life with my wife and kid with the one on the way. And our group of friends. You're right (y/n), I love you." Barry said softly."I love you to. I'm here for you Barry." I smile."And I'm here for you honey." Barry replied. I kissed him gently."Good. Now let's go to sleep." I giggled. Barry chuckled and nodded."Agreed." He replied. We then laid down and fell asleep in each other's arms cuddling.
