We park our bikes on the curb and walk up to Lindsay's porch. Jessie rings the doorbell. Ms. Merlin answers the door. "Hi, girls. She's upstairs, go right on up."
"Thanks!" We say, going inside and walking up the stairs. We enter Lindsay's room. "Hey girl," I say to her.
"Hey," Lindsay says back. "You ready Jess?"
"Yeah, a little nervous, though, first date and all."
"That's totally normal. Your dress is in the closet." Jessie turns Lindsay's walk in closet on her right. She opens it and pulls out a sparkly silver body with a pearl silk skirt.
"Hey, do you have my shoes?" She asks.
"Yeah, I got 'em right here." Lindsay grabs a pair of silver ballet flats with three small pearls on the toes.
"Wow. That's beautiful! I just have this," I show them my dress.
The doorbell rings. I hear a door open, and a girl's voice.
"Hi, come on in!" I hear Ms. Merlin say from downstairs. "Girls!" She yells. "Nikki's here!" I hear footsteps coming up the stairs. Nikki walks into the room.
"Hey," she says.
"Hi," says Jessie.
"Okay, well I'm gonna' go get dressed in the bathroom," I say. "Bye."
"See ya."
