"Hello, Juliet," Carter says as I head toward the benches.
"Hey, Romeo," I respond. Carter laughs. "So, what'd your parents get you for your B-Day?"
"They told me they would pay for half my college tuition. Same with Rye. So I wanted to ask you something." We sit down. "Would you go on one last date with me before I leave? I know we'll have more when I do, but I know it just won't be the same."
"Yeah. Of course."
"But, there's one thing. I want it to be a double date."
"I would love too. I'm guessing it's with Ryan and Linds."
"It is!"
Nikki and Jessie sit down.
"Um, why are you two the only ones here?" Asks Jessie.
"I actually don't know," I say. Ryan and Lindsay come over. "Where were you?"
"We were just talking," says Lindsay. "So, has Carter asked you about Friday yet?"
"He has. You haven't told me where we're going yet, though," I say to Carter. He scratches the back of his neck.
"Um, that's because I don't exactly know. Ryan, your turn."
"Um, arcade good?" Ryan says.
"I'm good with that," says Lindsay.
"That's good," says Carter.
"As long as you win me a life-sized teddy bear," I say to Carter.
"Can't make any promises." He gives me a kiss.
