"Jammie time!" I say to Lucas walking into my bedroom. "And Mikey put down the diary."
"But you let Luke have it!"
"He can barely talk, let alone read. Let's go. Bedtime." I am babysitting the boys with the help of Jessie because Mom and Dad are out partying. "Are you excited to be Mr. Ring Bearer? Michal?' I say helping him take off his shirt.
"Can you read me a story?" He says, avoiding the question.
"Sure. What's it going to be tonight?"
"Um, Superman?"
"Sure." I grab a comic book out of his backpack. "You get settled in and I'll be right back. Okay?"
"Okay."
"C'mon Luke." I grab Luke's hand and walk into Jessie's room.
"Your turn," I tell Jessie as she closes a book.
"Oh, come on!"
"Hey, I have to sleep in the same room as a six-year-old. You can change a diaper."
"Okay, one, it's a pull-up. And two, that's not fair!" She wines.
"Just do it. And put on his pajamas too!" I say walking out of the room.
"Okay. Storytime." I sit on the bed next to Michael. "Superman. Here we go."
