"Girls! We're leaving in five!" Mom yells at the bottom of the stairs.
"Okay! Coming!" I run downstairs. Mom, Dad, and Rachel are sitting at the kitchen table.
"You ready?" Mom asks. "Okay. Jess! Let's go!"
"Coming! One sec'!"
"Okay! We'll be in the car!" We make our way to the van.
"So, what's for dinner?" I ask.
"Well, Josh is making his famous three cheese lasagna," Rachel responds.
"Josh?"
"Oh! Right! Josh is Lucas's dad."
"Oh. Okay. Why haven't I met him yet?"
"Well, he just came back from a year long rescue trip from Nigeria."
"Oh, wow. What was he doing there?"
"He was delivering clean drinking water to areas with low sanitation. He helped make over a hundred wells."
"Well then, I can't wait to meet him."
"Okay, I'm ready, what'd I miss?" Jessie says putting on her jacket.
"Not much, everyone ready to go?"
