"Last day," I say walking up to Carter.
"No, it's not. Just the last one for now." We go sit down. "You two coming tonight?" He asks Nikki and Jessie.
"We are. Why?" Nikki says.
"Just asking."
"I don't want tonight to come," I say. "I don't want this to be over."
"It's not over. We will never be over," Carter says, giving me a kiss.
"So, who else is coming?" Jessie asks.
"Um, really just some of your guys' friends," I direct to Carter. "And your parents."
"Are they single?" Jessie asks.
"No," Ryan says. "Married." Lindsay smacks him.
"Devin and Jimmy are," Carter explains. "But Ryder has a girlfriend."
"Really?" I ask. "You answer them?"
"Yeah. Oh, yes. They are." I smack him. Lindsay gives me a high five.
"Okay, I need to go clean out my locker," says Ryan.
"See you tonight," says Lindsay.
"Bye."
