I walk into my English class and take a seat next to Lindsay. "Did you and Ryan go on a date this weekend?" I ask her.
"Yeah. We went to the movies. No big deal. What are you getting Carter for his birthday?" She asks.
"It's his birthday coming up?" I ask. She laughs.
"Yeah! It's on Wednesday! You didn't know?"
"No! We're too busy talking about Shakespearean insults to talk about anything important."
"Oh yeah! How was your date on Saturday? And I'm going shopping tonight for Ryan if you want to come with."
"Thanks. And it was perfect. We went to go see a Romeo and Juliet play, we ate baguettes, rode in a taxi!"
"Okay. I can understand baguettes, but taxi?"
"The baguettes represented Paris and the taxi New York."
"Yeah, okay. I'm just going to pretend I can understand you two." The bell rings.
"Okay, hello class!" Ms. Ryedhart starts.
