I pinched Kai's cheek. "You're so cute."
He rolled his eyes. "Shut up, Ri."
"Ooh someone is moody." I continued to tease.
"I'm not moody." He glanced down at me. "You're the moody one."
I playfully shoved him. "I'm not moody, Malachai." Kai rose his eyes and I shrugged. "We're both moody."
"But you more."
"Don't make me hurt you." I said, wrapping my arms around one of his.
"You'd never hurt me, Ri."
"Three years builds up a lot of resentment Malachai." I told him and he rolled his eyes.
"Don't worry I have forever to make it up to you."
I couldn't help but smile and waved my hand in his face. "Till death do us part."
Kai smiled back. "I like the sound of that." He said and then kissed me softly.
"Kai, we need a car." I told him when the kiss ended. "To get to the airport, or at least a taxi."
"Especially considering our flight is in three hours." He said. "Let's just compel someone."
"Without murdering them." I added. I ran my fingertips along his scuff. "Shave this when we get home, it's getting way too long."
"But I thought it tickled you." I shook my head at him and he laughed. I grinned and reached back to grab Zeke so I could get out my sunglasses, but then I realised he wasn't on my back.
Zeke!!! I mentally screamed.
"Kai, where's my bag?" I asked him. He shrugged and my eyebrows rose. "Kai, I need that bag."
"Ri, it's just a bag." He told me. "You can buy another."
"It's not just a bag." I told him. "He is my friend and I need to find him."
"And I'm the crazy one."
I scoffed. "I'm going to find him, while you get us a car." I kissed him quickly. "Love you and no killing."
"No promises and I love you too." I smiled, hurrying back into the mall. I entered the last store Kai and I were in and glanced around the floor and changing rooms to find Zeke. Instead I was met with a few half naked women, with bright red faces.
I huffed and debated calling out for Zeke but then realised I wouldn't get a response. Eventually I was on my hands and knees, crawling around to check up surface for him. It may had seemed weird, but I had Zeke when I was in the prison world.
He may had been a bag but he was one of the things that kept me sane. At one point was on even crouched down looking for him. I noticed a woman glance down at me, with her eyebrow raised.
"Are you alright?" She asked me, sounding concerned.
I nodded. "I'm just looking for Zeke." I said without thinking.
Her eyes doubled in size. "Your son!"
"My bag." I corrected and watched her face switch from distress back to concern. She didn't say anything else but grabbed her kart and walked away.
