( King Laurent )
I just stood there in shock, my heart hurting. Did she really just tell me I failed? I punched the door with all my force and felt the wood splinter. I watched as blood dripped from my knuckles and just stared, the pain taking away any coherent thoughts.
All that for nothing? Why?! Why?! Why couldn't Jasmine just fucking love me as I was?! I could hear in the back of my mind a name, Candice.
She was the cause of it all. I had to do something about her before Jasmine would be with me. But what? Should I just toss her out? No. My guilt wouldn't allow me to. Maybe I would give her a home somewhere away from the castle, then Jasmine would be satisfied right? That wasn't enough, I would have to cut all ties with Candice. I stripped down to my boxers and laid down on the bed.
I had spent forever looking for the right necklace and the Jasmine flower charm seemed perfect. But I should've known gifts wouldn't win her over, I had prove to her I was serious.
King Laurent: "Geez, I haven't fought this hard for someones love since Valerie. Then again, Jasmine was worth it. I just hoped by the time I get back to Parisih and settle things there, she will want me still."
Wow, now I was talking to myself. I really was crazy. But I wanted Jasmine and I would prove it. Maybe Larry could help.( Jasmine )
( Day 40 )I got the phone call from Mazzi early and I left the hotel with my book bag. I left the key with the receptionist, who muttered.
"So you're the friend? Humph, he could do better." I glared at the girl then smiled.
Jasmine: "When my husband wakes up, can you tell him that his Queen said goodbye?" Her eyes opened in disgusted shock and I laughed all the way to the car. I got inside and rolled my eyes at the fool.
Jasmine: "What the hell Mazzi? It's not even 7 am! Why the hell are you up so damn early?" He just started to drive and smacked his teeth at me.
Mazzi: "Aye you said to come get you before I went to the studio and I go to the studio early. Stop whining damnit. Ima take you to my crib and then I'll head out. If you need anything, you will call me alright?" I laughed and leaned my head on his.
Jasmine: "Yes mother. But you know that it's only temporary right? I got a job already and I won't be staying with you for long." A cute laugh and an eye roll later, I was standing in front of Mazzis apartment.
Mazzi: "I mean it's not no castle but it's home. I hope you'll feel at home here."
Jasmine: "I am grateful for this Mazzi, I really am. I just need to clear my head for a while. Thank you. Ill see you when you get back?" He said yeah then handed me the key before driving off. Well, time to start anew and I knew exactly how to begin. I had went upstairs and checked the living room out.
Jasmine: "Alright Mazzi. A pool table? Oh, there was going to be some bitching soon. Hope he can handle losing." I found the bathroom and changed into a long sleeve beige shirt and jeans then called a taxi.
I left when the taxi came and when he asked where to.
Jasmine: "To Lauren's boutique please." And away we went. When I got there, the bell from the door annoyed me. Lauren walked from the back with a smile on her face.Lauren: "Hello welcome to--. Ah hell, it's just you Jasmine. Are you here because you gave up the idiot and now wanted to work? Good, let's do this." I laughed at the bluntness of the woman. It was very refreshing.
Jasmine: "Wow don't sound so happy to see me. Hahaha, just tell me where you need me. I'm ready to do what I left Florida to do. Live." And so it started. I lugged boxes and destroyed my fingertips trying to sew.
But I laughed and joked with Lauren. It was nice to just not stress about Kings or lovers, just be a normal woman. Maybe this is what I needed. To be Jasmine, not Queen Jasmine.End Chapter
