[ Three Years Later ]

Micah: "Mommy, Kyanna's crying again and I can't find her pappy.", the young toddler of three with the ink black curls and dark chocolate eyes mumbled in his childish lilt and the Queen bent down to gather him in her arms.

Queen Jasmine: "Well, we shall have to look for it then huh? Don't want your baby sister to be sad right?", she asked with a smile twinkling in her own chocolate irises, ones oh so similar to the boys. Micah shook his head no and gestured to be put down which the Queen obliged and off the toddler wobbled, hoping to be able to console the brown eyed infant. A low laugh echoed in the Royal hallways and without a doubt, the Queen knew it belonged to her husband. He was meeting with the Duke of Maliajah to ensnare a contract that would help fund the newly built schools and daycares that the townspeople of Parisih needed.

An infants cry followed the laughter but soon deceased and so the Queen searched for the reason why. Walking into her and the Kings old bedroom which now served as their children's room, the Queen was met with a sight that always seemed to bring a tear to her eyes. Her brother in law, the other King of the Twins Kings held the once fussy little girl in his arms, humming to her in the French language. Strolling over to Larry, who she considered a brother more than an in law, Jasmine slipped her arm through the crook of his, a wistful and almost sad smile settling on her features.

Queen Jasmine: "She adores you Larry, only you and Micah seemed to be able to calm her so quickly. Do you think it's because I named her after..", not wanting to dredge up old wounds, Jasmine let the sentence trail off but Larry just shook his head and cradled the child closer.

King Larry: "It's okay Jasmine, while it still hurts, it's just a dim feeling, it doesn't cut my soul apart any longer. Kyanna would hate it if I continued to live like this, alone and single.", his words whispered in the rooms.

Queen Jasmine: "Do you not ever think about maybe reconciling with Lylah? After all, Liloh is turning nine and is to go study abroad in London, maybe you can convince Lylah to stay here and that way Liloh can stay home as well.", she inquired, hoping that her friend and Larry could restart what they had stopped before but Larry was adamant in his decline.

King Larry: "No, Lylah deserves to move on and her and Liloh going to London helps that. I don't want to put them through the hassle of me again. I love my daughter and her mother so I will do what's best for them and this is what's best.", staring down at Jasmine, Larry gave a half smile and she knew that there was no hope for that wish. Letting it drop completely, Jasmine went to take Kyanna from Larry and in bounded Micah with satisfaction written all over his face.

Micah: "Look mommy and oncle Larry, I found Kyannas pappy.", his toothless grin was nearly smug and reminded Jasmine of her husband even though Micah took much more after her and Kyanna was the spitting image of her father. Placing the sleeping one year old in her crib, Jasmine shooed the both of them out into the hallway and closed the doors gently behind her.

Queen Jasmine: "Good job Micah, can you do me a favor and get daddy?", at the mention of his father, the young princes eyes lit up and off he went again, this time in search of his father.

King Larry: "It's a hell of a thing watching this two grow but nothing makes me happier than watching my family like this.", turning to Jasmine, Larry kissed the top of her forehead. "Thank you Jasmine.", and with that, the twin King left to his own devices and Jasmine couldn't help but wonder if she would get to watch more of his children grow. With a sad sigh, the Queen went off to find her wayward toddler and busy husband.

Queen Jasmine: "You know, you would think a Queen would have more to do.", she grumbled to herself but smiled politely to all the servants and guards who greeted her as she walked the halls. The peace of Parisih had continued on with no issues and life was content but something always stuck in the back of her mind, that peace didn't always last but for her children sake, she surely hoped so.

About ready to give up, the Queen spotted her son and his father out by the gardens, playing like two toddlers. Well, it made sense sort of, she thought with a smile. Pushing all worrying thoughts for her brother and his life to the back, she ambled over to her family and joined in on the game of tag until night fall and when it did, they snuck one last glance at their sleeping children.

King Laurent: "This is all I need.", he whispered and Jasmine gave him a side glance.

Queen Jasmine: "Our children?", she questioned softly but the King shook his head and stared down his wife.

King Laurent: "All of our family, even the ones who aren't with us. Without everyone, life wouldn't be like this and this, I treasure more than anything in this world. I had a family before in my siblings and mother but you Jasmine, you came along and completed the hole I never truly knew existed. Thank you for loving me Jasmine.", gentle strong hands framed her face and her life was full.

Queen Jasmine: "No, thank you for loving me. I was hardheaded and stubborn but you, you showed what I needed and not what I wanted, no one will ever replace you, you are my love. Til death do us part.", she held up her pinky finger and the white of Laurent's teen shined in the darkening room as he intertwined his own pinky with hers.

King Laurent: "Til death do us part."
