Maya slapped the side of Lucas's arm, hard enough to wake his screwed ass up. Screwed might have not been the right word in a situation like this. She felt her nerves all come alive and jump around, emphasizing themselves inside of her. Lucas woke up in a jolt, and met her eyes immediately.
"What.. What is it? School?"
"No you idiot. It's Saturday." She waved off, trying to skip to the catch. "Do you know what we just did?"
Lucas's surprised face began to lower into a satisfied expression as she assumed he began reflecting on what happened. "Lucas!" She jolted him out of his wonderful memory.
"What?" He whined. "Shit happens Maya. But I'm not going to lie about what I said before I had you up against the wall-"
"LUCAS." Maya shielded her eyes, feeling ashamed of herself as the sheets covered her breasts. "Jesus. This is insane."
"At least I'm not some asshole hooking up with you, Maya. I'm actually a person who cares about you and finds you beautiful. From the inside, and out." Maya glared hard at him and folded her arms. Lucas rolled his eyes. "Oh my god. You seriously won't accept anything I say to you. But answer me this Maya. If you felt like last night meant absolutely nothing, then why did you let me kiss you? Why did you kiss me back?"
As Maya almost didn't have anything to say, she was interrupted with a phone call. She brought her curly blonde waves (which was now very much wild looking due to what happened. Anyone could've came to the conclusion that more than bed hair had happened.) to one side, and stressfully answered her phone. "Hello?" She murmured.
"Riley." Maya flinched, but kept her cool. "Hi. Yeah I'm not home right now. I um..." She trailed off, sinking her teeth into her bottom lip. "I went out with my mom early. Some mother daughter bonding." Maya nervously chuckled. "So I'll see you later? Okay. Bye."
Maya hung up and sighed as she threw it to the side of the bed. She turned and noticed Lucas' toned body, probably earned from football. Lucas noticed this and the girl rolled her eyes, looking away immediately. "It's okay that you were checking me out."
"Shut it, Huckleberry." Maya shook her head, trying to find her bra as she stood up from the bed. "Where the hell are my clothes?" She shook her head. Maya glanced down and saw Lucas's shirt. The girl mentally cursed herself for doing this, but she picked up the shirt, and glared at Lucas. "Don't think of this as any kind of gesture of affection." She slipped it on, and pulled her curls out of the shirt. The shirt covered just below her butt luckily. Maya glanced at herself in the mirror. She didn't exactly want to say this, but something from last night made her look and feel amazing. She looked glowing. Lucas had also noticed her confidence.
"Let me get this straight. So first, you hate me, we're friends, we're kissing, we're making love, and then you hate me. And now you're admiring yourself in the mirror. God, I'll never understand women." Maya picked up a pillow that must've been placed at the edge of her queen bed, throwing it at him. "Hey, you never even answered my question."
Maya rolled her eyes and walked out of the room, going into her kitchen. Her house was empty, and Maya couldn't be any happier because of it. Lucas followed her, first putting on his sweatpants. She glanced back at him as she took out a bowl. "Couldn't have put a shirt on?"
"Don't wanna say this, but you're wearing mine."
Maya groaned as she remembers again. "Got me there." She admitted, sighing. "But anyway, to answer your question," she turned to the boy, folding her arms across her chest. "Doesn't matter why I did what I did. It's not going to happen again. You have Riley."
"Maya, you can't tell me how I feel. Especially not after what happened. What I feel for Riley is light and crush -like and all that unicorn shit, but with you, it's a storm. It's a stupid ass rainbow storm and I hate that you make me feel this way. If it were up to me, I would kiss you right here, right now. And make love to you all over again." Maya stayed silent as he moved closer to her. "And I wouldn't even care. I wouldn't need your permission." She leaned against her kitchen wall, resisting the urge to swoon as he lifted his elbow and leaned it on the other part of the wall space next to her. As he was hoping to do what he said, something held him back. "But deep down, I know you probably wouldn't be okay with it."
Maya stared at his lips. I would be okay with it. Haven't you figured that out already? "You're right." She stuttered and nodded, swallowing a lump in her throat. Lies.
After a while of both of them resisting their urges, he leaned out from being so close to the girl. "Right." Was all he could say in response.

"Alexander Hamilton."
Darby jumped underneath her desk and made some inhuman bird sounding noise. She managed to squeak out, "PLEASE NO." Before covering her head. "ANGELICA." She cried.
"You may know the political scandals between the years of 1776 to 1804, but did you know about his affair? His lovers? The two sisters who both loved him equally as much?"
Maya sunk in her chair. Well, there goes a good day she could've had for once. "While Eliza and Alexander Hamilton were going to be happily ever after, it turned out that Angelica saw him first, that night at the Winter ball." A memory flickered into Maya's brain.
"Hi, I'm Maya. You're really cute."
She blinked, and felt the need to catch her breath. He kissed her as his hands lowered down her shoulder, Maya feeling a shiver go down her spine as he dipped his hand lower rather than resting it at her hip. "She conversed with him, and next thing she knew, her sister Eliza unexpectedly fell in love while she wasn't looking. And made it open that she loved him to Angelica."
Lucas watched the nervous expression on his blonde friend's face, and the neutral one on Riley's. Was she catching on to this tension?
"May I go to the bathroom?" Maya immediately interrupted, standing up quickly. Mr. Matthews saw her stricken expression, and silently nodded. She ran out and went to the bathroom. Riley, who immediately saw her mood, ran after her.
Maya glanced at herself in the mirror and began to cry. She wasn't one to go and sleep around, or be genuinely promiscuous. Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard her friend burst into the bathroom.
"Maya!" She hugged her. "Are you okay? What happened? I didn't think you'd hate Hamilton." Riley replied.
"Riley, I need to tell you something." Maya wiped the tears under her eyes. "I'm like the Angelica in this situation."
"Situation?" Riley questioned. Her face was blank until her eyes widened. "Maya.. What-"
"I didn't want this to happen, Riley. I promise you that." Maya said as she came to a full on realization.
"Maya.. What happened between you and Lucas?"
Her cheeks turned a bright red. Riley recognized this look right away, and bit her lip. "He kissed me Riley and I didn't pull away. And next thing I knew, I woke up next to him."
Riley covered her face.
"Riley, I didn't mean for it to happen. And I don't want to have feelings for him. Which is why I'm not going to ever talk or see him again." She uncovered her face and glared harder at her best friend. Okay, she did like Lucas. But she wasn't gonna let her do something stupid like miss her opportunity.
"Maya, you can't do that."
"Riley-"
"No. Sex isn't some thing you're gonna just forget about. Especially with a person that you definitely felt something for. It's why you didn't push away." Riley informed her quite passionately. Maya stared back at her with sadness in her eyes. "Screw what Lucas and I had. I didn't even see it going far. It takes a lot for two to get between the sheets, especially when they've been close for years."
A blush appeared on her face. "Riley, I don't care about feelings. They're never getting me into anything good. And just because I kissed him back and let him wake up next to me in the morning, doesn't mean I like him. I don't." Maya knitted her brows into a v shape. But Riley refused to buy it.
"It does, Peaches. It'll always be you and I, but you have to be true to someone else. Don't fight back the feeling you have. Just go to him." Riley scolded her, crossing her arms. "Now, go to him."

After the bell rang, Lucas walked out of the classroom, but was soon stopped short from a certain blonde. She didn't have that glare she always held when she looked at him. Maya looked genuine and looked as if her guards were down. He had a really good hunch.
"Can we talk about what happened?" Maya asked, trying to stick to his gaze. This felt like the hardest thing in the world.
"Now you want to talk about it?" He arched a brow up. "After flipping out at me on Saturday?"
Maya huffed in frustration, but tried keeping her patience for the sake of this pretentious asshole. "Lucas, I'm being serious." She didn't know on whether she should slap him or kiss him so he'd shut the hell up. "Listen."
He noticed the deliberation in her tone and the jokeless expression on her face as her hand moved out and gently set on his shoulder. It even took Maya by surprise that she was doing that at all. "Truthfully, I don't know what that night meant. Could've been something that was held in, or other shit. But listen closely Huckleberry." She pulled him away from other people around them and held him close to her, as she then started tracing circles in the middle of his chest, looking to his eyes every once in a while. "Ever since that night, I've stared at you and have had urges to just take off your clothes and we'd be in my bed already. I would be able to fall asleep to you murmuring how you feel about me."
Lucas lowered his eyes to her lips, his own tongue sliding over his own hungrily as he constantly tried to keep his gaze to her eyes. She knew she had him right where she wanted him. "And I know you've been dying to hear those words, because I know how you feel about me." The girl smirked, keeping her finger in the middle of his chest as she stopped circling. "So why don't you take me home already and show me how much you like me?" She placed her hands on her hips, a look forming in her eyes that Lucas never saw before. He closed the gap that was left between the two, and pulled her into him by the waist, setting his lips onto hers. Maya gripped her hands on his torso, wrapping them around as she stayed close to him; radiation completely surrounding the two for that one moment.

Maya rested as she remained laid down on his bed, the drapes remaining over them both. She had a small satisfied grin on her face as Lucas watched the girl, his elbow leaning on the pillow.
"Had fun?"
She turned to him, and nodded tiredly. "Mhm."
"So.. Um." He stared at his wall in front of the two as the girl hugged the blanket to her chest. "You never clarified on how you felt. I totally picked up on the lustful part of it." Lucas mentioned, and Maya met his nervous hesitant eyes. She caught him off guard by bringing his face closer to hers, blinking slowly as she examined him.
"If you must know, I fell in love with you." The smile remained on her pink hot cheeks as her teeth exposed her ravishing profile. "You're electrifying. Could've killed me, Friar." She held him, the grin turning to a slick smirk.
"Wow, isn't it my day?" He brought the girl back over him, holding her close to him; their bare bodies touching. A blush was brought to her face.
"You're still a narcissistic shit, but it's something I've grown fond of." Maya said before leaning down to devour his lips some more, Lucas noticing how her touch made his skin catch fire. He caressed her lower back, and pulled away just for a moment.
"Damn, Hart. Quite electrifying, if I must say." He raised a brow mischievously, resuming where they left off as his hands roamed her body that only gave him a full on ere-*cough*connection.
But seriously, they had an annoying ass spark. Ugh, love.
