Maya, Riley, Farkle, Zay and Lucas all sat around Riley's bedroom floor, laughing and talking about old memories they had back in middle school. Maya and Lucas finally had gotten together in their senior year of high school. Currently they were all still seniors, and things were really ending. So they all sat around and relaxed, cracked random teenage jokes, and just enjoyed each other's company. Maya and Lucas's relationship was still new, even though they've officially been going out for half the year. Nothing serious due to the fact that they really wanted to take their time in the steps of their relationship.
Riley took a sip of Coca Cola and laughed as she chatted simply with her best friend Farkle, who became a lot more badass over the years. "Careful Riley, your parents are right downstairs. If they see you drinking such a rebellious beverage, you could be in big trouble."
"You know I don't even finish even one. And plus, it's not like there's alcohol in here." She rolled her eyes, setting it down as she leaned against her wall. Maya smiled, her eyes flickering to her boyfriend Lucas, him meeting her eyes in unison. Even though they've dated for probably 8 months already, it was new. Every time they gazed at one another, it was like taking a refreshing drink of water. It had sounded like clear new piano notes that echoed throughout a large room. Feeling the warm sun on one's face and resting there till dark and it's nice and breezy.
"Oh get a room." Riley shook her head as she folded her arms. Farkle wrapped an arm around her, her silently enjoying the feeling of his leather jacket touching her skin.
Maya chuckled, setting her Cola down. Lucas pulled her close to him, kissing her temple as the girl rested her head right below his chin, them secretly lacing hands together. "Well, looks like someone is going to have quite a night tonight." Zay smirked, leaning his head back on Riley's bed with pure satisfaction. Maya and Lucas both snapped their heads up urgently.
"Huh?"
"You guys haven't kept your hands off of each other. I wouldn't be surprised if you guys were already sleeping together."
An alarm went off in Maya's head. They've never even had sex before. Yeah, they've made out many times, but they knew their boundaries and when to stop what. She always knew that it'll happen when it happens. That it'll be their time eventually. Of course she's felt him on her before, but that's only because he's a teenager. And hormones happen. It had only been 8 months, and she wanted to savor every moment with him, because she was happy and in love. They've talked about this before already, and even Lucas said he'd wait because of the respect he has for her boundaries. He was willing to wait.
Her face had turned bright red while she was daydreaming, and soon fazed back to reality at the sound of giggles and snickers.
Lucas was examining her face, trying to read her expression at the moment, but anyone could tell it was plain embarrassment.
Zay, who noticed the room filling with silence, grinned widely. "I see."
Riley stared at her best friend and raised her brows, gaping.
"What?"
"Nothing.." Her face turned red as she glanced down. "I assumed you guys were doing it. And now I lost a bet."
"Bet?"
Riley handed over twenty dollars to Farkle, who had a smirk planted on his face. "We're not horrible people!" Riley squeaked as Farkle took the money from her. "Okay.. Maybe a little horrible."
"I don't get how you guys assumed that." Lucas folded his arms in disappointment. How long were they dealing with this wild assumption?
"You look happy to us."
"Yeah? Maybe because I'm in love with her?" He wrapped an arm around Maya, and a smile lit her face. "There's no rush with us." Truthfully, they did want to take that next step. But the only thing was, that both didn't let each other know that. Only in their make outs they would make small signs that they'd want it, but neither would budge to go forward. On whether it was unbuttoning clothing, or leaning back onto a floor or bed.

Later that night, Lucas walked Maya home, them brushing hands every once in a while. Things felt.. Awkward. Or different, rather. They hadn't really gone onto the topic of sex with one another. It was nothing but love that they felt for each other, and another feeling they couldn't seem to name. Was it normal for them?
Lost in their thoughts, Maya thought of clearing the air and breaking the silence. "Do you want to stay over for a little while?" She asked, entwining their hands as she gazed into her boyfriend's eyes. They were at the front door of her building.
"Sure." He nodded, a warm expression on his face. They walked up the building of her apartment, and unlocked her door to find no one home, but a note on the fridge. It read, "Dinner with Shawn. Be back in a couple of hours. Xo. -Mom."
"Well, my moms not home." Maya said, feeling her neck heat up. Her mom was always home when they were hanging together. The door always had to be open. Okay, that was Shawn's rule.
"Well, what do you want to do?" Lucas asked his girlfriend, holding her hands. She shrugged, taking a breath.
"Wanna read?"
Whenever they're in weird moods, the lovebirds tend to read their own books in silence. Normally when they have something they don't feel like talking about at the moment. They both walked into the living room, chose random books and sat across from each other on the couch. For a moment it was quiet, and Maya could hear the sound of them both breathing, and their heats beating slowly in their chests. The turned to the first page of her book as Lucas had done the same, the only sounds in the room were the turning pages. They sat in silence as Maya laid back in a comfortable position, unintentionally brushing her leg with her boyfriend's in the action, causing her cheeks to turn a color. Lucas noticed this action, his eyes flickering from the book to her expression which was on her book.
He slid his feet down on the couch ever so slightly, so that their legs brushed together. Lucas noticed her change in facial color as a smirk lifted onto his lips.
A moment or two later, she satisfactorily and nonchalantly leaned her other leg against his. They both glanced up at the exact same time and their eyes met. But there was something different about the way they looked at another. The look of love.. Was there. But the look of lust was far more exposed in this moment. The two pushed themselves up forward and met in a brief kiss as if a gravitational pull had suddenly taken over. Maya and Lucas were both gentle with each other as she interlocked her arms softly around his neck as he gently caressed the sides of her waist, holding her closer to him as he began trailing small kisses down the side of her neck. This was really new. Not that he's never kissed her neck, but the intensity pulsing through their veins and the violent beats of their hearts. She was grinning as he pressed his lips onto hers again, and he mirrored her, feeling the same level and energy of happiness and intrigue. They were this gigantic bowl of smiling mess. Suddenly, an instinct that Maya discovered she had surfaced to her brain as she saw and felt herself pushing him down and reattaching her lips to his, moving her hands up and down his back as he rested up against the pillows. He regained strength and pushed her to her other side, her petite body now being held against as he kissed her long and hard before pulling away. They both tried catching their breath for a minute as Maya and Lucas gazed into each other.  A smile fazed into his face as he caressed the side of the girl's temple, falling to her cheek. She was absolutely stunning, even though her blonde hair was tousled, her lips were swollen and her cheeks were hot and pink, she couldn't of looked more better at the moment. Maya smiled back, and felt shivers run down her body as if two ice cubes were sliding down her back. She raised her hand up in front of her, and touched the center of his chest, taking the boy by some surprise as Maya lowered it to his abdomen, carefully watching him as her heart beat began to race. He lifted his hands and placed them on her shoulders, sliding them down to meet at her torso as he was no longer staring at her face and vice versa with her glance. She held his face in her hands, and kissed him softly.
"I don't bite." She murmured, a reassuring smile on her face. "Just be gentle."
"Are you sure about this?"
Maya nodded, and cut him off as her mouth covered his own, shrugging off her black cardigan as it fell onto the floor. He suddenly scooped her up bridal style, and carried her to her room; mid-kiss. She knew he wanted this to be special at this moment as much as she did.
Maya laid back down once they arrived at her bed, not taking her eyes off his. He found her lips in another brief attachment as she gently played with the hem of his shirt, both of them finally interpreting the signs that they had not yet known before. He gently slid his shirt up and over his head as it gently tossed to the floor. She leaned closely back in, tracing circles on his chest gently as Lucas's body shivered. Maya smiled excitedly as she removed her own top, revealing a teal laced bra that she wasn't expecting Lucas to see. He pulled her back against him and kissed her neck softly as he traced over her back bones and the line of her bra straps. It was a moment they weren't expecting, and they couldn't be more happy about it. It wasn't only hot and serious, but fun and enjoyable. They were in love-which made it so much better, Maya thought to herself. Next moments were the removal of their pants, and more clothing as they both reached the next step in their lives.
"Are you sure you want to?" He whispered hesitantly as he leaned in close to her. She looked up at him with vibrant blue eyes and nodded.
"Yeah, I do."

The two both breathed out heavily as Maya rested her head on his chest. It was quiet again, and when the two finally caught their breath, she lifted her eyes to his.
"Wow." They both commented and unison. She chuckled as she tucked a strand of hair back, pulling the rest to one side of her bare collarbone. Lucas admired the girl before her, caressing her face as she moved up to kiss him again.
"So... We've never done that before." He stated out of the random, causing Maya to laugh.
"Nope." Maya smiled, propping her elbows on his chest as she leaned her head on her palms. "This doesn't change what we have, does it?"
"No." He moved the girl closer to him, caressing her bare back. "It makes us closer."
"Who would've known this would've happen on the same night it was talked about--- wait." Maya bit her lip. Lucas questionably looked at her. "Riley. She won the bet."
"But-"
"Technically, it just happened. So..." She spoke in a lower voice, smiling as she reached over and kissed a couple of spots on his neck. He closed his eyes and buried his hand in her blonde curls. Maya was absolutely stunning, and unexpectedly amazing in different ways. She was a new kind of beautiful as Lucas began to see it.
"Do we have to tell them now?" Lucas whispered, quite distracted from Maya's lips on his skin. She pulled away and grinned.
"Let's not tell them. We'll see if they notice."
