Why couldn't they just tell you what the hell all the symptoms would be for your own body while it's pregnant. There could've been more time to at least prepare for what was coming to this poor blonde. Maya Hart caressed her stomach with a sickening expression as she felt the need to just throw her freaking guts up. "I love you and all, but why must you do this to me?" She whispered to her stomach which held a little girl. It was only the second month into her pregnancy, and not a word was spoken to Lucas about it. To Maya, it wasn't a big deal anyway-she was barely even showing!
Occasionally she thought about the future and what people were going to think when her stomach got unusually big without further explanation. Maya glanced at herself in her bathroom mirror, noticing her tired blue eyes and slightly oily blonde hair. "You're gonna be a lot of work, my lovely." She ran a hand over her stomach that wasn't showing just yet. Rolling her eyes, the blonde through her hair up into a ponytail and slipped on a sweatshirt before leaving the apartment.
Maya sat on the bus, swallowing the lump in her throat as she gazed out the window with her bright blue eyes. It was her senior year of high school, and she was about to enter the real world of college and her own career. She knew this one baby could probably hold her back, but she shook it out of her mind. The blonde knew she shouldn't avoid this because of she did, Maya would only be screwed sooner or later. She knew she'd probably be brave enough to give up some of her life and put it on hold to take care of the baby,, and Maya probably could tell her parents and maybe even Riley.
But she couldn't tell Lucas. She just couldn't.
He'd probably want to get all involved and and he'd probably think he's in love with Maya, and then just leave her after she gives birth.
Maya couldn't bare the pain to go through that. She could raise the baby on her own, God dammit.
There was also another part of her screaming what in the actual hell is wrong with you? It's a baby for shits sake. You're gonna need all the help you can get. Which just added more stressed. The two opposing ideas and plans fought in the pregnant girl's mind and she couldn't find a way to fix it.
Stuffing her hands in her jeans, she uncomfortably walked through the halls, knowing that in just a couple of months later, most eyes would probably be on her-no, scratch that, her stomach. Walking over to her locker, Maya noticed Riley walking down the hallway to greet her. Her stomach felt like it was doing flips (is that bad for the baby?) due to her general nerves and ever since the blonde slept with Riley's former-current(?) crush.
"Hello Peaches. How are you feeling on this absolutely fine morning?" Riley began with a smile, her dimples flashing. Yeah, maybe fine for her.
"Tired, and probably getting a cold. You? You're happier this morning." Maya replied her most casual, leaning against the locker.
"Well, Lucas and I walked into school together in conversation, and it was wonderful." She dreamily cooed, clasping her hands together. Maya raised a brow as her heart skipped a beat from inside her chest.
"It's just a walk, Riles." Maya shrugged, feeling a nauseous feeling in her stomach. "Nothing to flip out about. He didn't like propose to you."
"Yeah, but it's just the beginning. It's the build up that matters."
"Yeah yeah." Mays's eyes trailed off to the floor. Riley furrowed her brows in confusion, turning Maya's face toward her again. The blonde felt herself slightly panic inside, as if Riley could read the words screaming off of her, "I'm pregnant! And it's Lucas' baby!"
"Are you okay? You look a little pale."
"I'm just getting a cold, that's all." Maya answered, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "You're always worrying, honey."
