Her eyelids slowly opened as her vision adjusted to the clear surroundings in front of her. Maya Hart blinked a couple of times before stretching her arms, letting out a slow comfortable yawn. Cravings began to surface in her mind, and Maya suddenly realized how hungry she was- no, she was starving and really could use a nice nutritious breakfast. Her eyes traveled down to the sheets she was tangled in and furrowed her brows at them. Her sheets were not normally the color white, nor did they smell like fresh laundry. She sniffed them and questions grew in her mind. Where were her jasmine scented purple sheets?

She sat up after taking notice of this, and felt her arms slightly pull back from wires which were attached to her skin. Maya almost screamed at the sight as her pulse began racing above its average speed. What the hell-Where the hell was she? Beeping caught her attention as she whipped her head to the hospital monitor next to her bed. At least she knew she was alive.

And, it didn't take long before others realized it too.

The blonde heard crazy fast feet all running down the hallway and sat back in bed, dreading to hear what the hell actually happened to her. All she wanted to do was to get the hell out of here and go get some waffles or something.

A brunette and a blonde came racing into the room with crazy looks in their eyes as they spotted her alertness. "Oh my god." The brunette cried. "She's awake. She's alive."

Maya stared at the emotional girl with concentration written on her face, as if trying to connect two puzzle pieces together. There was something about her that was so familiar, but what was it?-

And as puzzles so, they couldn't fit. Her heart sank in her chest as she realized she couldn't remember who this person even was. "Maya, I'm so glad you're alive."

Not knowing anything else at the moment, she smiled friendly and murmured, "thank you." The brunette wrapped her arms around Maya tightly, rambling on about her being asleep for so long. She was in a coma?

How long?

Before any other thoughts flew into her mind, the girl pulled away with a smile, looking at the boy she brought with her and back at Maya. "I'm sure you've missed Lucas."

Maya slowly nodded and played along. "I.. did." Lucas walked closer to the blonde, his sea foam eyes pouring into hers as he knelt against her bed.

"You don't even know how much I missed you." He said while pulling her into a hug. Her arms snaked around his back, hugging him back as she stared straight ahead. Pulling away, their eyes met once again. "Are you okay?"

Maya glanced back at him with concern in her eyes. "I.." She nervously began, trying to describe the emotions spinning inside of her. "I'm sorry, I just.. I don't.. I think you have the wrong girl." Lucas chuckled, looking back at the brunette, who was no longer smiling.

"Come on Shortstacks, quit pulling my leg. You just woke up." He smiled at her, caressing her blonde curls behind her ear. "I think I should at least get a kiss hello since I've visited you like everyday."

Maya swallowed nervously as her eyes lingered to the hospital window. "How long was I asleep?"

"You were in a coma for six months."

Her heart sunk in her chest as she laid deeper in the bed she was in. He quickly added, "But that doesn't matter now, you're-you're awake now."

"Look, Lucas.." Maya began shakily. "You were probably a really amazing person. But I don't know you."

His face fell as Riley covered her mouth from behind him. "..You're serious?"

Maya bit her lip as tears filled her eyes. "Whether I knew either of you or not, I am not the same Maya Hart I was before I fell into the coma." She was about to twiddle her thumbs, but sucked in a breath as she pulled her left hand closer to herself. Their was a silver engagement band on her finger. "Oh my god." She whispered to herself. Tears rolled down the bubbly girl's cheeks as she walked over to Maya.
