Serene, The one word to describe the bliss of waking up in the morning to sit down, drink coffee, and simultaneously check multiple forms of social media.
Well at least it was that way for some people. One person specifically actually, a nineteen year old named Cassidy Norab living in Stockholm, Sweden.
Cassie lived a quiet life in a small but cozy apartment in the city. At the moment it's January so staying indoors seems to be the best option to stray away from the cold bitter winds and dense snow.
Cassie sat in her living room, watching t.v., and talking to her old friend online. She was covered in a blanket laying on her couch with her laptop placed in the middle of her lap.
Suddenly she heard a ding and a notification popped up on the screen of the laptop. The notification read One New Message.
She was hesitant to open it seeing as it could be anything, it could be a some con-artist trying to get her credit card number or a creep trying to get her phone number.
She hesitated because she didn't know who it was, she only messaged one person, which was her one friend she happened to still be in contact with.
Messages from others were rare and never really resulted in much as they were usually junk. She finally opened it to be greeted by something unexpected.
"Hello! Now I'm sure you are probably wondering who this is and I don't want to sound like a complete weirdo but me and my friends talk on this website and one of them stumbled upon your account and asked me to ask you if you would like to join a chat with us because your interests are pretty similar to ours and ya know. Sorry for rambling btw." Upon reading that she stopped and was genuinely shocked.
After a few minutes she replied, agreeing to the invitation to join the chat. She was both excited and anxious about this decision as a few minutes later she was added to a group chat with three other people in it.
