Talking and cooking, absolutely perfect. Cassie made Jansson's Frestelse, a Swedish dish meaning Jansson's Temptation, It was a layered dish of onions, anchovies, potatoes, and other minor things. She served it while placing a platter with coffee bread in the middle of the table for two.
They both sat down, Lyle at one end of the small table and Cassie at the other. Bandit laid near Lyle underneath the table. "Thanks for the meal Cassie." Lyle said smiling as he took a bite. "Oh my God this is great what is it?!" He said looking up at Cassie. "No problem and it's Jansson's Frestelse, it's a dish customary to Sweden, I felt like you'd like it." She smiled and they both continued eating.
Minutes passed and they both finished eating, Cassie and Lyle both cleaned up, speaking while they cleaned. "So how's your sisters competition thing going?" Cassie asked looking over at him.
"So far good, she's extremely confident in her designs." She laughs a bit, "I could tell with everything she said yesterday." He smiles, oh god she could feel her heart melting just by looking at his smile.
They finished cleaning and sat back down at the couch. "So other than this whole Stockholm thing how's life?" Cassie asked looking over at him. "To be completely honest it sucks but this has been really, really nice." He sighs, but he's still smiling.
"I'm sorry it sucks, if you ever need to talk about anything you can talk to me ya know." She shifts her body so she's facing him. "The constant studying, anxiety attacks, pressure, and bullshit in life is stressful, but right now is one of the best things to happen in awhile." He said, looking slightly upward. Bandit immediately sat next to him.
He pet Bandits head, "Thank you for doing all this stuff, Cass." He was looking toward her. She hadn't been called Cass since she was ten. Her face was light red, her old friend used to only call her Cass so she reminisced about them for a quick second. "It's really no problem." She pushed the whole Cass thing aside.
She felt bad for him, she had no idea what his life might've been like. Before she could think anymore he pulled her into an embrace. He was quiet, she felt her face heating up but all she could do was put her own arms around him. She was confused, but didn't question it, she refused to question it.
