Ridiculous, Cassie thought, currently getting dressed so she could meet up with Lyle and show him around. You've only known him for what, a few weeks? On top of that you've only just seen him for the first time, liking him seems quite childish. She slipped on her boots and proceeded out of her apartment and out of the building. Right as she exited the building she looked out into the snow covered streets, people were shovelling snow and kids were running around. She crossed the street, entering the park she first saw Lyle at.
She looked around a little bit texting back and forth for a little while, sitting on an ice cold bench. Finally he walked into the park, his dog following behind him on a leash.
Cassie walked toward and greeted him, "Hey so I know it's a bit cold out but you don't mind if I still show you around do you?" She asked, she was worried the cold weather would bother him but he seemed fine.
"I'm good with anything, I'm actually not that cold." She was relieved. "Well then where should I start... Well we could stay here for a bit, this park is beautiful during the winter." She smiled.
They walked around for a long time, joking around, talking about life, and all in all just having a pretty nice time. They looked at the frozen ponds in the park, the ice and snow covered trees, and the small amount of animals they encountered other then Bandit who had now rolled around in the snow twice.
They sat down on a bench, it was getting to be noon. "We could head back to my apartment if you'd like, we can warm up and have some lunch ya know." Cassie looked over at him, his dark hair made the snowflakes on it very visible, unlike his pale skin tone which made it harder to see snowflakes that landed on his bare skin.
He was looking up at the sky, obviously amazed by its currently beautiful pastel blue colour, he was happy. "Yea we can go to your apartment." He looked back at her, smiling.
They both stood and walked side by side. "So how long have you lived here Cassie?" He asked looking down at her, usually people looked down at her due to her unusually short height which made her a little frustrated at times, but with him she didn't mind it. "I've lived in Sweden for a year, I moved here for college but I still haven't enrolled."
"Nice, it's cool that you have your own place, I'm in a dormitory at the moment, it's pretty crowded but I'm with my family when I'm not at the university." "So what do you study, Lyle?" She asked, looking up at him.
"Well I'm working toward an Aerospace Engineering degree so I could possible get a career in Aerospace Technology, it's a lot of work but it's going to be so worth it."
"Well shit I don't even know what I want to do in life and you've already got it all planned out."
"Cassie, I'm sure whatever you do end up doing you'll be successful."They walked into her apartment, "Welcome to my home, the kitchen is open all the time and you can look through my short stories and shit if you'd like, I'm not one to judge." She plopped down on the couch after shutting the door as he walked in.
Lyle let Bandit off of his leash and Bandit immediately laid down. Lyle sat down near her, she turned on the television and put it on a local news channel. "You want anything to eat?" She said, currently becoming one with the couch.
"Sure I'll have anything, also are you comfortable? The position your in looks kind of painful." She laughed. "Of course, I always sit in weird positions, it's more comfortable that way." She stood up and walked over to the kitchen. Having someone over for once was actually extremely pleasant, especially him.
