She couldn't sleep. She kept thinking about him. Cass laid wide awake in her bed, she decided if she wasn't going to sleep she might as well check her phone. She leaned over to her bedside table and grabbed her phone and went straight to social media.

She noticed Nina was online, yet William was offline. She sent a message to only Nina that resulted in a conversation.

[Ca}: Hi! Sorry for not being on too much since Lyle got here, everything's going well!"

[Nin]: It's fine, how's Lyle been?

[Ca]: Pretty well, turns out I knew him when we were ten, pretty ironic tbh.

[Nin]: Yea.

[Ca]: So you don't mind if I tell you something do you?

[Nin]: Not at all go ahead.

[Ca]: So I kinda like him and I feel really childish liking a guy because whenever I think of crushes I think of like primary school girls giggling with each other over a guy and I really don't know what to do and help I guess.

[Nin]: Honestly he'd probably date you not going to lie, you make him happy, I can tell he's in a pretty bad mental state and the way he acted changed to more positive when he met you.

[Ca]: Oh... well that's pretty good but if I ask him to you know... date... should I be direct or do something outgoing?

[Nin]: He's pretty direct so be direct, I ship you two, also isn't it like one in the morning where you are why aren't you asleep?

[Ca]: Oh shit it is... Well I'll tell you how it goes sometime, good night or good morning since its eight in the morning for you.

[Nin]: Good night/morning!

Cassie got off, she put her phone back on the small bedside table and went to sleep. She slept for two hours until she was woken up. She woke up to Bandit pawing at her leg, looking a little worried. At the sight she got worried too, she got out of bed and looked to check on Lyle.

She walked into the living room to see he wasn't there. She panicked a bit but she noticed where he was. He was sitting on the balcony of her apartment, it was small and had nothing on it but snow. She lived in an apartment in one of the middle floors of the building, the view wasn't too spectacular, it faced a building and only showed a tiny part of the city.

He sat on the floor of the balcony, his knees near his chest and his arms crossed and elbows lining up with his knees. He was surrounded by snow and looking out at the street. She walked out, he jumped a little and looked up at her when she opened the door.

"What are you doing?" She asked. "Oh I had an anxiety attack... I decided sitting out here might be calming." He went back to looking at the street. "How long have you been out here?" She asked quite worried. He shrugged, not taking his gaze off the street. "You could've died its so cold out here Lyle, you aren't even wearing a coat." She said, he didn't look too concerned

Oh God what if he wanted to freeze out here. At this point she was just trying to stay calm for him. "Let's go inside, it's way too cold out here." She said, he nodded and they both walked in. He sat down and wrapped himself in the blankets he was sleeping in. She made him some tea and sat down next to him.

"Hey so I kinda wanna talk to you about something..." He looked over at her, confused and shivering a bit. She was close to him, extremely close, she could feel him and his lack of warmth. Her heart was pounding.
