That morning Cass checked out of the hospital and texted the others about how she was at her apartment now. She dusted and cleaned her house, she then met up with them at a restaurant for lunch. They all sat at one table.
"So, what's it like being home?" Nina asked.
"It's nice, the hospital was a bit too cramped for me." She sighed leaning back in her chair.
"I'm glad your home." Lyle said, smiling.
"So Lyle are you still up for crashing at my apartment?"
"Yea sometime today I'll check out of the hotel and bring my luggage to your apartment."
"Awh, you two don't do anything gross while you're with each other ya hear?" Nina said laughing, Cassie's face turned into a light blush as she nudged her.
"If you even touch Lyle I swear I'll kill you." William said, looking down at his phone under the table, occasionally glancing up at them.Soon a waitress took their orders, which Cassie had to translate into Swedish for her. They continued joking around until their food came, where they ate with a little speaking in between bites. After they finished they each pitched in for the bill and left.
"So where do you guys want to go?" Cassie asked looking up toward them.
"I'm fine with where ever to be honest." Nina said, looking around at the various shops around them.
"I know this one overlook we could go to." Cass said and they all told her to lead the way.Cassie walked with a slight limp, like a canine Lyle noticed quite quickly and started walking closer by. "Cass you're limping." He said looking down at her, she blew it off. "Ehh it's nothing-" before she even finished her sentence he kneeled down. "You can sit on my shoulders cause I don't want you hurting." He said, his facial expression stern but sweet.
There they went, Cass directing Lyle while sitting one leg per shoulder. She messed with his hair a lot, it was pretty soft so touching it seemed natural. William looked pissed as he gazed at the two and Nina talked with William who she had tolerance for.
They finally arrived at the overlook, it was a wooden board walk like structure that overlooked a harbour. The air had a breeze to it that was calming and the waves splitting as they hit land sent a sensation of relaxation over everyone who heard it. They all sat down, Cass getting off of Lyle's shoulders and onto a bench next to him and Nina with William on the end next to Lyle.
They sat looking at the boats at water for about an hour, they got lost in conversation and pure bliss, they decided they'd let Cass show them a few more outlooks before going to dinner then back to their hotel. She got back on Lyle's shoulders and lead them to about four more outlooks, each as relaxing as the next. They then headed back to town where they went to a nicer restaurant to eat.
William actually started talking a bit more, though he still had a rude snobbish out tone he got better at it. They joked quietly during dinner, trying to act polite toward the other restaurant patrons, as they ordered in English which was then again translated to Swedish by Cass.
It was dark when they finally left, they bid each other farewell as Cass went to her apartment and Lyle later met up with his luggage. He placed his luggage in her room near her dresser and then sat down on her couch where Bandit, who had followed them all day wearing his service dog garment, laid sleeping. Cassie crammed in next to Lyle and they spoke.
"So, where do I get to sleep tonight?" He asked looking exhausted.
"Well I mean if it's completely alright with you we can both, ya know, sleep in the same bed or whatever." She responded, her face a light shade of pink.
"Alright, well I might go lay down now if that's ok with you Cass."
She nodded, "I'll come in to lay down in a second, I'm just gonna set out a dish for water and food for Bandit."
He thanked her and smiled, kissing her on the forehead before heading off to get dressed into a NASA t-shirt and just his briefs as he laid down in her queen sized bed.Just as promised she joined him, changing into a tank top and light shorts before laying next to him. They both got close and he wrapped his arms around her as she did the same to him, they both spoke quietly to each other. They cuddled for awhile before drifting off into a sleep that was stable, Cassie was happy knowing that Lyle for at least one moment felt ok, she refused to let any of his mental disorders acts of pure torture drive her away from him. He was happy knowing that Cass was ok, he loved her more then anyone he had ever met. They were both happy.
