It had been two weeks since Cassie had first met the mix matched bunch of four people she now considered friends.

She learned quite a bit about them throughout the week too. William was quite. . . Interesting. He was nice to Lyle, he was only nice to Lyle. He kept sucking up to Lyle constantly, it was both amusing and tiring. He was like a child who depended on Lyle for literally everything.

He was obviously very upset at the fact that there was someone new, it was shown through his bitchy attitude and endless shit storm of insults, but Cassie ignored it.

She spoke with Nina a lot, Nina was the polar opposite of William. She wasn't so uptight and didn't act like a complete asshole around people. She was pretty laid back and outgoing. Her and Cassie shared a few interests but not too many.

The person she shared the most in common with was Lyle. They both read frequently and shared some of the same favourite authors. Though his taste in books was a bit darker than her's, usually revolving around murder mysteries and horror stories.

He was very kind yet stern and collected. He joined a conversation only when he felt he needed to. He was also pretty intent with art. He fancied sketching and even showed her a few of his sketches which he referred to as "rubbish" when they were actually quite astounding.

Cassie felt happier around them. Even though some of them, literally only William to be honest, weren't too interested in her presence she still enjoyed their company and endless variety of conversations. For only knowing them for about two weeks she felt like she'd known them for a lot longer.
