A minute passed and his arms were still around her small frame but immediately when he realised what he was doing he stopped hugging her. His face was deep red and the syllables in his words were more elongated then usual, "I'm sorry." He looked downward at the floor, sitting back.
Cassie faced him, only slightly confused, she could slightly tell he only hugged her to prevent some degree of an anxiety attack, the most obvious clue to this was the alertness of Bandit. "I'm sorry for acting out I just... it's just.." His hands were shaking.
Bandit started to walk around Lyle's leg, Lyle looked like he was in panic. "It's fine Lyle! I'm completely fine, don't sweat it." Cassie said trying to calm him down. "I'm gonna get you a blanket." Cassie said, standing up and walking out of the room and then walking back in a few minutes later with a blanket that she put around him. "Would you like some tea, lemon balm helps with stress if you'd like that." She looked down at him, he nodded, petting bandit with a shaky smile.
She made them both cups of lemon balm tea, she talked to him while making it so he felt a bit better. She walked back to him, handing him a cup of tea, she sat down near him but didn't get too close considering the fact he's still in panic. She joked with him, his smile looked more sincere now.
After he finished his tea, he was at ease and glad. Cassie stayed with him the whole time, getting his mind off of everything with stories and her company. Bandit laid on Lyle's lap, Lyle pet Bandit. "I'm glad you're fine now, Lyle." Cassie looked at him, smiling. Her smile made him smile, her presence made him happy. They were both calm and happy.
"If you don't mind we can go back outside and I could take you to one of the best overlooks of the city." Cassie sat up. "It's fine if you don't want to though." "No I will, it'll be nice." He replied. They both put their coats on and headed out, Lyle asking if he could leave Bandit there, and Cassie complying. Cassie lead the way.
