Leah walked up to the front door and knocked
"Leah. What are you doing here? Jackson isn't coming to the door. He's grounded. Still. He earned himself another 3 months for back talking me. Go home Leah." Ann said angrily.
"Mom. Let her in. We need to talk." Jackson said.
"You two have 5 minutes. Go." Ann said, pacing by the door.
"Do you think you could give us some privacy mom?" Jackson whispered.
"No, Jackson. Because the second I step away, you two are going to sneak off somewhere. I know how you kids work." Ann said.
"Mom. We need 5 minutes. By ourselves. To talk. Can you at least give us that decency?" Jackson pleaded.
"I'll be back in 5 minutes exactly. No funny business."
Ann slowly walked out of the den and into the next room.
"Hi hon." Jackson said softly.
"Hey babe. I'm still grounded, but my mom let me off the hook for a few minutes to come talk to you. I love you babe. And I want to be with you for a long time. And if we have to wait a few months before we can see each other again, well-" Leah leaned in close to Jackson. "-that'll make the sex even better." Leah said, walking back with a sly smirk.

"Mom I'm home." Leah called from the front door.
"Good. Car keys now. Don't think you're not still grounded missy. You very much are. Jackson can come back over once your grounding is over. Now help me with dinner and cleanup afterwards."
"I'm not hungry. I ate earlier. I'm going upstairs." Leah said angrily.
"Don't use that tone with me. We are eating dinner together and that's final. You can stand there and argue and get yourself grounded even longer, or you can help me get it ready and everyone stays happy. Your choice."
"Fine. I'll help you cook." Said Leah, walking towards the stove.
"What did you have to so desperately go talk to Jackson about?" Claire asked.
"It was just some things. Between me and Jackson. And our relationship." Leah shrugged.
"You had sex. Didn't you?" Claire accused.
"No, mom. We didn't. Ann was watching us like a hawk. So don't worry. It's gonna be a while before that happens again." Leah said, half laughing.
"Leah, listen. You're only 17. I really don't think you need to be doing these things. I love you, and I can tell you firsthand how hard it is raising a child at your age. Just. Be responsible."
"I will mom. I promise."
