Leah peered around the corner and saw her mom sitting at the kitchen table with her cup of coffee.
"Hi mom." Leah said, walking towards the coffee maker.
"Ok. I'm not going to hold back on this one. If you're going to be going at it all night, at least have the decency to keep it down. Some of us, meaning me, would like to get some sleep while I can without a baby crying." Claire ranted.
"Yeah. Sorry about that mom. We thought you were out of town this week." Leah said with a wince on her face.
"That doesn't matter, Leah. You got pregnant because you weren't careful enough. I don't want you to have two kids before you turn twenty." Claire continued to rant.
"Would it be the worst thing in the world if I did have another baby though?" Leah shrugged.
"Hold up. Is this your way of telling me you're pregnant again?" Claire frowned.
"Well, no. I'm not pregnant again, but someone in the family is." Leah half chuckled.
"Would you like to clarify please?" Claire stood with her hands firmly on her hips.
"Hey Jackson. You can come in now." Leah called.
"Alright. Both of you. Tell me what the hell is going on here before I get really pissed." Claire said angrily.
"It's Alexa." Jackson mumbled.
"What about Alexa?" Claire asked.
"Mom." Leah just stared.
"Oh. I see now." Claire said defeated.
"She's um. She's not keeping the baby. She has an appointment scheduled for next week. The only people that know are Jacksons family, me, and now you." Leah said softly.
"It's probably for the best. She doesn't need to be a mom at 15 anyways." Jackson said.
"Well thank you for telling me. You can go back to what you were doing now."

"Have your parents talked to Alexa since she told them?" Leah asked.
"I'm not really sure yelling qualifies as talking to her." Jackson replied.
"I know she doesn't want to keep the baby, and she already made an appointment, but she's going to be a wreck afterwards. Does Mason even know about the baby?" She huffed.
"No. Alexa and my parents want to keep it that way too. They broke up." He clarified.
"When did that happen?" Leah questioned.
"A couple days ago. She broke it off." Jackson answered.
"Well shit." She said quietly.
"It's probably better this way. He doesn't ever have to know that there was a baby." He said.
"Jackson. My mom never told my dad about me and look where that got me." She stated.
"She's not telling Mason. She's not having the baby, so just drop it Leah. I'm done talking about this tonight." Jackson stormed out of the bedroom, slamming the door behind him.
"Wait. Come back please." Leah called out.
Jackson stopped halfway down the stairs and turned around.
"What do you want?" He shouted angrily.
"You know what? Forget it. Clearly you don't care. Just trying to look out for Alexa." She shouted back.
"Damn it, Leah. You don't get to do this. I'm going to my parents house for the weekend."He argued.
"No. You don't get to do that. We're married now. Whatever happens we stick together. You, me, and Lacey. All of us." Leah demanded.
"I am going to my parents house. You can stay here, or you can come with me. The choice is yours Leah, but I am going to my parents house. Goodbye." Jackson continued down the steps, walked out the door, and drove off.
