"Leah get down here. Your dad will be here in a few minutes." Claire called from downstairs.
"He's not my dad. You just met him 2 weeks ago." Argued Leah.
"He is your dad. You have half his genes. Like it or not, you have to meet him."
"I've done just fine without meeting him for 17 years mom. Why do things have to change today?" Leah complained.
"He just pulled up. Just be nice please."
Claire opened the door and a tall, buff man walked up.
"Hello Travis."
"Hi Claire. And hi Leah."
"Ok how do you even know you're my dad? I want proof." Leah said.
"Leah you promised you would be polite." Claire said sternly.
"If you recall, I never promised anything." Leah said, walking away.
"I'm sorry Travis. I didn't think she would act like this." Claire said.
"It's really okay. I haven't been here for 17 years of her life. She has every right to be mad."
"Thank you for coming here. It means the world to me." She said.

"Leah. Open up this door." Claire demanded.
"Just please leave me alone." Cried Leah.
"We need to have a talk."
Leah stood up and unlocked the door.
"What was that attitude about downstairs? It was completely unacceptable."
"You never answered my question. How do you know he's my dad? Did you just pick a random guy you went to high school with and go with it?" Yelled Leah.
"He took a paternity test. It was a small high school. I just called any guy I would've possibly slept with that night. He is your dad Leah." Claire said.
"I have two things to say. I will not be calling him dad, he does not have control over me. Other than that, I will try to be nice." Leah said, reluctantly.
"Ok. He's downstairs waiting. Let's go."
