Leah crept down the steps and into the kitchen.
"Don't think we're done talking about last night. We still need to sit down and have a good and long discussion." Claire said, sitting at the table.
"Geez mom. I just woke up. At least let me grab some coffee first."
Leah reached for the mug in the cabinet and poured the coffee.
"Ok mom. You wanna talk? Talk."
"First thing, you didn't even tell me you were leaving the house. You didn't answer your phone, and you were having sex. You have to slow down Leah or you WILL get pregnant." Claire said, reaching for Leah.
"I'm not going to get pregnant. I use protection. I have backup methods. And unlike you getting knocked up with me, I love Jackson. This isn't a one time fling." Argued Leah.
"Your attitude is unacceptable. Do you want to be grounded again? Because we both know how much fun that was for both of us." Claire said.
"No. Mom, I'm sorry. But I need you to trust me please. Trust that I'll be careful. Please." Leah begged.
"I trust you. Calm down. Relax. I love you honey."
"I love you too, mom."

A few weeks later...
Hey you've reached Jacksons voicemail. Leave me a message.
"Jackson. It's me. Call me back. We have to talk. It's important."
Leah walked out of her room and down the steps.
"I'm going over to Jacksons. He's not answering his phone and I really need to talk to him about this whole situation. I'll be back later." Leah said, walking towards the door.
"Be back by 5 at the latest. I mean it." Claire called.
"I will. Promise."
Leah pulled up to the house and knocked on the door.
"Hey Mrs. Porter. Is Jackson home?"
"No sweetie, he's out with friends. What is it honey?" Ann asked.
"Um. My mom, she uh. She found my dad. And she's going to meet up with him. I'm not really sure how I feel about it? But. Could you have him call me when he gets home?" Leah said, beginning to cry.
Ann reached to give Leah a hug.
"I cannot do this. I've lived without him for 17 years. Things don't need to change now."
"Oh sweetie. I know this seems impossible right now, but it will get better. Maybe this is for the best." Ann comforted.
"I have to go home. Thank you. For everything."
"Bye sweetheart. I'll have Jackson call you."
"Thank you again Mrs. Porter. I'll talk to you later."
