Chapter 26

"Alexa? Open the door. I need to talk to you."Jackson said.
Alexa swung open the door.
"Is Leah here?" Alexa asked.
"No. Do you want her here?" Jackson asked.
"I just want to talk to you. Without Leah being here." Alexa said.
"What is it?" Jackson questioned.
"Are you really marrying her?" Alexa cringed.
"Alexa. I love her. We have a daughter. Of course i'm marrying her." Jackson huffed.
"Why, Jackson? She steps too far into my relationships and interrogated me when I thought I was pregnant." Alexa complained.
"She cares about you Lex. She wants you in the wedding." Jackson said.
"You know. This isn't easy for me either. My brother is leaving me. You can't leave me. Please." Alexa sobbed.
"Hey hey. I am not leaving you. Now, we may not be in this house every day, but I am not leaving. Out of all of this, you're gaining a sister. And you have a niece. Alexa, I am and always will be here for you." Jackson said.
"You promise?" Alexa looked up.
"I promise."

"So how'd it go?" Leah asked.
"She's going to be in the wedding." Jackson said.
"That's great! I'm so excited!" Leah enthused.
Lacey let out a loud coo.
"Lacey is excited too." Jackson laughed.
"Your parents are watching her while we're at the beach house right?" Leah questioned.
"Yes babe. We get a week to ourselves. Just you, me, and the beach." Jackson smiled.
"I can't wait. We haven't had a romantic night since before she was born. And now she's 2 months old." Leah sighed.
"Well, we can practice tonight." Jackson grinned.
"I need to give Lacey a bath, and put her to bed. Then you and I can have a little special time." Leah whispered.
"That sounds great. I'll wait here." Jackson said, smirking.
"I'll be ready in 20 minutes. Be ready." Leah smiled.
