Chapter 19

"We have something to tell you mom." Leah said, looking up to Jackson.
"What is it?" Claire said, smiling.
"We're engaged!" They said together.
"That's wonderful sweetie. The three of you make a beautiful family." Claire said.
"Now that Lacey is here, Jackson will be staying with us most of the time. Some nights we may go over to his house, but for the most part we'll be at ours." Leah said.
"I want you to do whatever you need for your family. If that means you have to go back and forth, or if it means Jackson moves in, we can work with that." Claire comforted.
"Thank you Ms. Jones. Your support means everything to me." Jackson said.
"You really have changed from the person I knew a year ago. I'm proud of you dear." Claire said.
"Becoming a dad will do that to you." Jackson shrugged.
"I'm proud of you. I'm proud of both of you. Cherish these times. She'll grow up before you know it."

"We get to go home tomorrow. Yes we do." Cooed Leah at Lacey.
"There's one more question we haven't really talked much about. Finishing senior year." Claire questioned.
"I've been taking all my classes online. I'll graduate with my class, and so will Jackson. College may have to wait a year or two but we can work with it." Leah explained.
"What is Jackson doing about college?" Claire asked.
"He'll go to Montgomery County. That way he can still live here and just drive the 30
minutes to classes. He'll go to med school in a few years once Lacey is a little older. We can do this mom." Leah said.
"Honey I know you can. There's a lot on your plate right now with just having a baby, and working on graduating, relax some. Cherish these baby years with Lacey. They'll fly by."
"Thank you mom. I love you."
"I love you too sweetie. Get some rest. You'll need it later." Claire soothed.
