Chapter 25
I watched as all the Warriors fought against each other.
They're really good...
I stayed still, wondering how I could possibly learn half of what they knew in time for the war.
I turned to Atticus.
"And you expect me to be fighting like them by the end of the week?" I asked with my jaw hanging open.
He grinned. "Precisely!"
I scoffed. "You're insane, you know that?"
"So I've been told. Now come along, I've got a very special someone who volunteered to train you!" He smiled.
"Who is he? Is he twice my size? I don't fight guys that are twice my s-"
"Hello, Vitani." I heard a female voice. I froze.
I know this voice.
I slowly turned and saw a smirking Laura standing on the blue mat we would be fighting on.
Show no weakness, I told myself.
I stood up straight and kept a straight face while looking her up and down.
"Laura," I said.
"Vitani, this is your new training partner. I'm sure you've already met her, though," he said. I resisted the urge to slap him to the ground.
Keep your cool, keep your cool. You've kidnapped Laura before. Seriously, how hard can this be?
"I'll leave you ladies to it then!" Atticus patted me on the back and walked off.
I watched him walk away, mentally throwing blades at his retreating figure.
I heard the clearing of a throat and stopped myself from cringing. I turned and stared Laura in the eye with a serious expression.
"Let's begin, shall we?" She asked with a smile that told me she was up to no good.
Oh, the evil within me might be gone, but the old Vitani still lies in here. Don't act so smug, you bimbo.
