Chapter 32

"Where will Danny be?" I asked Atticus.

"What do you mean?" He looked over at me.

"Will he fight? Or will he be in the tunnels?" I asked.

Atticus had called a meeting with the pack and explained the plan. He'd just gotten back, and I realized I had forgotten to ask him where Danny would be.

"Well, if he wants to fight, he can. I think it'll be pointless, since he fights like the hunters do, and isn't strong like a wolf."

"I'll ask him," I said. He nodded. I walked out and wandered around the house, looking for Danny.

"Danny?" I called out.

"Yeah?" I heard him yell back.

"Where are you at?" I asked.

I walked into the living room and found him reading a book.

"What's up?" He asked, closing his book.

"Will you be fighting in the war?" I asked.

"I'm not sure. I'd be using the same techniques that they do, and I'm not as strong as the Warriors here, so I don't think I will," he said.

I sat down next to him.

"You'll stay in the tunnels, then. With Atticus and I. Also with all the females and children," I said. He nodded.

"That's fine. Wait, Atticus said he'd stay with you in the tunnels?" He asked.

"For the babies," I said.

"Babies? Are they twins?" He asked.

"I think so! I just have this feeling that they're twins," I said, placing my hand on my belly.

He smiled. "Decided on names yet?"

"Atticus wants the name Alissa Makenna for a girl," I said. He frowned.

"Why that?"

"They're the names of his grandmothers," I explained.

"And if there's a boy?"

"I want Derik," I said.

"You always said you liked that name," Danny said with a thoughtful tone.

"And so if they're both girls?"

"Alissa and Makenna. If they're both boys, Darren and Derik," I said. He lifted his eyebrows.

"Nice names," he said.

"I like them," I smiled.

I was about to tell him something, but I heard shouting outside.
