((AUTHORS NOTE:
This is chapter two to the Underfell Gaster Blaster AU that I didn't write. I don't think I'll finish this chapter either. :( Well, enjoy!))
Darkness......... pain...........
I'm so close........
Wait for me.......!
Mmmmm......... voices? No..........
Keep sleeping..........
Blackness..... yes......
This is what I wanted........
Ch-ch....ara-?
"SANS!!!"
Flowey was flooded with pain as he snapped into consciousness. He hissed through his teeth; his unfortunate migraine blossoming into a burning pounding. Focus, Flowey, Focus... Where's the snow? That's a good place to start.
Well, it wasn't the ideal question. The more appropriate question would be where am I...?
Flowey winced as he snuck a look at his surroundings. He was definitely inside; with wood making up the walls and the flooring of the strange landscape. There was metal bars spilting the small room into two; with his side bare and furniture-less, and the other side oddly enough having a green bean bag chair.
"SANS!!!"
"Whoa, stop yellin' at me, what's up?"
That's the skeleton from earlier! Flowey flinched as he remembered the bone flying- then, well, he must have been knocked out cold. No wonder about the headache. I don't know who the other one is though...
"YOU KNOW WHAT'S UP BROTHER!!!" The rude-awaken-er shouted.
"It'd be better if you just, uh, tell me boss."
"YOU HAVE NO CLUE!?!"
"Nope, boss."
"SANS, YOU- Ugh, nevermind. I should expect this by now." The theatrical accent groaned.
So his name is Sans, huh? What's the other one's name? Well... Flowey bit his lack of lips as a wave of deja vú crashed into him. It's a little familiar... Come on, just say his name...
"Where have you put the human and the plant?" The unknown voice asked.
"The cell, boss."
"Good. I'll be ready to kill them by tomorrow then.
"Why tomorrow, boss?" The baritone skeleton taunted.
His name can't be "boss"! Flowey banged his leaf against the metal bar in frustration. Ow! Flowey stuck the now aching blade in his mouth. And the idiot flower strikes again!
"BECAUSE-! Sans, don't question my motives." Was this monster embrassed?
"Of course, boss, it won't happen ever again boss."
"It's happening again."
"What, boss?" Sans spoke with no concern.
"TH-THE... thing. My transformation."
Transformation...? I think I would have remembered a shape-shifting monster. Flowey racked his brain, but once again, it failed him. The resets blur together...
"Oh. Okay, boss. Why don't you kill them now?" The captor simply stated. Flowey tensed up.
"N-no." What's wrong with the monster now?
"I have to go now, plus, I must keep them alive."
"Why is that, boss?"
"THE WHOLE REASON TO CAPTURE THEM IS TO BRING THEM TO ASGORE!!! Then, I shall murder them in front of him."
That sounds lovely. Flowey shook as he saw the trident rise high above him, glinting scarlet from recent attacks-
"Good thinkin', boss." Sans said with obvious boredom.
"That is why I'm the Captain of the Royal Guard, and you are not."
"Yeah, yeah."
That sounded close...
Flowey squeaked as he saw Sans stepped through the doorway, arms stretched high above him. Flowey sank to the cool floor as Sans opened his jaws in yawn. He paused to smooth down his climbing undershirt.
"Gotta watch 'em." Sans flopped down on the bean chair, a little tear in the fabric spilling some plastic objects onto the ground; reminding Flowey of dust...
The buttercup suck air into his nonexistent lungs, ducking behind a sliver pole; the cold stinging through his unprotected stem. We have to get out of here...! Wait.
Frisk! Flowey pushed down a gasp as the child rippled through his memory. Oh no... where is the ki-
"Mmmm..." Flowey let out a sigh of relief. The human was sleeping, chest falling and rising in a steady rhythm, their head buried in their hands. Are those new bruises? And are they bleeding-
"Heya, bud-dy." Oh crud.
"Ha ha, I g-get it... bud. Bud...dy..." Flowey stuttered and dipped his disc to the ever-smiling skeleton. Seriously, does he ever stop smirking?
"I had a hunch that you were that type." Sans produced a toothpick from uppermost pocket their the sleeve; then proceeded to pick his shiners.
He shrugged his jacket off, letting drop to the floor with a weird thunk. Sans held up one finger to wait, and Flowey felt curiosity grow inside him and he crept toward the bars. He could easily slip through these buggers, but he was afraid of what Sans might do. However, Flowey noticed his eyesocket wasn't flaring anymore. In fact, the monster leaned back in a very relaxed way, but Flowey could see moisture gathering at his crown.
Sans tugged out two colorful bottles from more pockets and tossed one to him. Flowey yelped as it caught him straight in the face. Flowey heard his guard snicker as he straightened; holding the substance out in front of him meekly.
What is it with this place and red? Flowey carefully read the label:
Grillby's Ketchup.
DO NOT STEAL.
ESPECIALLY SANS.
Flowey gulped at the bold writing. He flicked his gaze toward Sans, who was drinking a bottle of mustard with presumably the same warning. After he was done, Sans let out a long breath; his skull sinking into the plushy-ness of the bean bag chair, then caught the buttercup staring at him. He made motion to to the condiment in between the confused flower's fronds.
"Drink it." I think now I know why everyone is crazy here. Flowey adjusted his position; spreading his roots across the unforgiving hardwood. He tipped his head back and sipped the ketchup slowly. The cool liquid ran sluggishly down his throat, making him shiver with repulsion, but it dissolved quickly, thank goodness.
Flowey pressed his mouth together to halt the flow of the foreign drink. He tight-lippedly grinned at Sans. "Mmmm... this is good! I-I think I'll save some for later."
