((DISCLAIMER: I'M SORRY. I AM JUST OVERCOME WITH THE NEED TO WRITE THIS. This is just basically Altertale before the bros broke up (in a brotherly way) and Papyrus is somehow turned into a baby bones. This is gonna be fun. Enjoy!))
Mmmm... The King opened his eyes. Immediately, a rush of thoughts attacked him from all sides. Despite already planning his schedule, he didn't want to leave the warm confines of his bed. A yawn overtook him, and he relented, his jaws opening wide. He rolled to his side, allowing his hare feet to hit the cold floor. He tugged the blanket off himself, and instantly regretted this decision; for he was now shivering, exposed to the sudden draft. Clarity awaking up his tired limbs, he sluggishly made his way to his wardrobe. He picked out a familiar looking black blob in his blurry vision. Sans carefully pulled his robes over his head, sighing as his head finally popped through the head hole. The inky cloak lined with azure was his favorite; and most comfortable. He can already feel his shoulders relaxing-
"I'M GONNA GET YOU FOR THAT, GASTER!!!"
"OH, NO YOU AREN'T!!!"
Sans froze mid-strech as two youngsters charged into the room, making it almost shake with the power of each and every stomp. Chara, the new addition to the family, as chasing Gaster, Sans' late brother, who was waving around a pink teddy bear.
Gaster giggled, racing a full circle around a stunned Sans. "Chara still plays with dolls, Chara still plays with dolls~" He sang in a teasing tone.
"NO, I DONT PLAY WITH DOLLS!!!" Chara protested, reaching for the doll, which was now tangled in a shaky sapphire magic. The teddy bear was wavering just out of their grasp.
Sans held out his hands. "Kids! Stop!" He commanded, but Gaster just blew him a raspberry.
As much as Sans loved children, they were quite a hand-full. His eye flared an azure flame, lifting the two cackling youths upward. The teddy bear was dropped.
Sans give them a death glare. "Stop, both of you. I just woke up." He snapped, then his voice softened. "Play somewhere else, please."
"Okay!" They both said in unison after they were let go, and galloped into a completely different area. Sans exhaled, long and slow; slumping aganist the creaky wardrobe. I can feel a migrane coming on, He groaned, massaging his temples.
I should have just stayed in bed. I don't want to do my duties today. Suddenly, a comforting revaluation came to him, making his tense body loosen. Papyrus is also the king; he can do most of that stuff for me. Sans grinned in preparation for his desired off-day. Thank God.
Wait... where is he? If Chara and Gaster are awake, then surely he is. Curiosity piqued, he stalked out his spacious room into a even more spacious hallway. He counted the closed doors until he came to the fourth, familiar one decorated with "Best King Ever!" stickers. He knocked tentatively, wondering why it was so slient. It was nothing like Papyrus.
The eerie quiet contuined. Nervousness prickled at the edge of his mind, while unsettling ideas filled in the rest. Sans, not wanting to panic, reassured himself that Papyrus is probably fine. But he had to check if he was in here. Sans gripped the doorknob, then turned it.
The slience suddenly became electric. Sans steep through the doorway, raising an eyebrow as he realized it was completely dark. He flicked the lightswitch on.
A tiny squeak sounded somewhere. Sans froze, trying to make sense of it. His eyesocket threatened to light up. Sans stalked forward, listening hard through the heavy slience, pressing aganist his eardrums-
"S-sans...?" Inquired a high-pitched creature. Sans felt sympathetic for the scared-sounding monster. He held his arms out in almost a welcoming hug.
"Yes, I am Sans. Don't worry, I'm not going to harm you, little one." He called as soothing as he could into the shadows.
"..... I know." A wave of deja vú tingled inside him.
Sans bent down, sitting down on his knees, squinting into the blackness. He tried to spot a outline; something. "Please, come out. I can help you."
A whimper echoed. "I don't know..." Sans sensed a brief struggle within the stranger, then a white blur barreled into him-
Oof! Sans fell falt on his back, a warm weight on his chest. He automatically wrapped his arms around the smaller being, letting out the breath he was holing.
"Now, did you come here..." He froze. The creature shyly glanced up at him.
It was Papyrus.
"P-p-p... Papyrus?!" He spluttered, astonishment crashing into him, making the now younger skeleton flinch. "What happened to you!?!"
Papyrus' hands balled into fists, grabbing Sans' cloak with a shaky vigor. "I-I don't know! I was just... sleeping, an-and-!" Papyrus halted as his voice croaked. He shook his head wildly. "I can't be seen like this, Sans!"
"Hold up, I'm trying to think..." However, most of his thoughts consisted of WHAT, HOW, and I'm hungry.
Papyrus growled, pulling Sans' robes. "Numbskull! I... I... I need you to...! I..." Papyrus' expression morphed into a less fierce one. "I don't know..." He groaned, his face burying into the stunned Sans.
The duo King gently rubbed his head, still not quite over the fact that his brother was suddenly reverse-aged. "Don't cry..." Sans mumbled, clenching his teeth as reality sunk in.
"I'm not going too." Papyrus huffed, despite his shaking shoulders. "I'm not supposed to be a child, so I'm not going to act like one!" He exclaimed furiously.
Sans realized that Papyrus must just be scared, from all the yelling he is doing. Usually he's just a plushy pushover. Sans carefully sat up, adjusting Papyrus in his lap, who refused to look at him anymore.
Sans pet his despairing brother's back, worried. "It will be okay, we just need to figure this out. For now, I will take your place and cover for you."
Papyrus dipped his head. "Yeah..." His voice cracked pitifully. "Chara and Gaster can't see me either; I don't know what they'll think! I'll just..." Papyrus crossed his arms, inhaling sharply. "Stay here..."
A weight of now responsibly rested upon Sans shoulders.
((I'm sorry this isn't the best. ^^" I might contuine this later. Sorry
