Idea: A new kind of UNDERSWAP

Flowey with Frisk's Role:
BACKSTORY: Flowey acts a lot more like Asriel, since he was Chara's SOUL. Still, he feels bad for what happened to him and Chara when they tried to set the monsters free. Chara didn't get a body; Flowey lost his SOUL. However, Flowey has the power to RESET from Chara's DETERMINATION to set everything right.

Chara with Frisk's Role:
BACKSTORY: Chara lost their body when she died and let Asriel absorb it. Now, they're stuck inside Flowey's body until they learn to fix this. Chara wants to do this for the same reason as the regular AU, Chara wants to get back at humanity.

Frisk with Flowey's Role:
BACKSTORY: Frisk fell down here as the last human, before Flowey was experimented on. Undyne managed to steal their SOUL, but their  DETERMINATION keep them alive. They had the power to RESET and made friends and killed every character. Now, they know that Flowey is alive, and they wonder what they can do to make their game even more fun~.

Alphys with Toriel's Role:
Alphys and Undyne used to be the queens together. After Undyne's adopted child died do to the War, Undyne grew more and more bitter and shut her herself out. She made a vow to destroy all humans and banished Alphys from her kingdom when she wanted to argue. Now, Alphys lives alone in the Ruins, in a state of feeling worthless because of what Undyne said to her. She tries her best to keep ignoring Undyne duitues by keeping human children here, but they always manage to get past. She feels bitter at Undyne but still lover her deep down. She cooks likes to read "human history" novels and still loves anime. Her house is a mess, but her managed to still keep her hobby as a tinkerer; to keep her mind off Undyne. She used to be the Royal Scientist before Sans, but she married the queen so... She also cooks you pie with either cheese or mayo. She is a really bad cook. Alphys and Mettaton do the knock on door thing.

Toriel with Napstablook's Role:
BACKSTORY: Toriel and Asgore were both part of the Royal Guard together, but they birthed a baby, so Toriel has to retire. Then, Asgore found a human, but even with Undyne's orders, he couldn't kill it. They adopted it instead and they had a good family together. That is, until Asriel and Chara decided to go and do their plan. Toriel was devastated, and she became less of a being, going slightly insane and quiet. She ran away from Asgore, yelling that it was all his fault and that he would follow his duties no matter what his wife says. Asgore let her go, and Toriel ran into the Ruins, and eventually killed herself. However, when a monster dies and still is untested, they become a ghost. So, that's what Toriel became as she floated around the Ruins, hating Asgore more and more with each passing day and growing more and more slient. Toriel used to gave piano lessons with Asgore, and that's how they meet, and from those lessons, Toriel became a great singer.  They always lived next to each other, but they had to move out into a different house to keep their growing family. Asgore still lives in that house. Toriel posses the occasional dummy, but doesn't stay in there for long.

Mettaton with Sans' Role:
BACKSTORY: Mettaton used to be a ghost with his cousin, but longed to have a body of his own. Then, he meet the door, and started to practice jokes on it. Alphys groaned at them, but a friendship started to form around them. They talked about their life without giving too much details, but Alphys once mentioned that she could tinker. So, Mettaton asked for a body. After a moment of hesitation, she agreed and came back with a box body next to the door. A note said that "she worked long and hard on this and that it had some special suprises. No money back!" Then, after he became fully corporal he wanted to tell Blooky about Alphys, but Alphys didn't want him too. So, ever since Mettaton felt a bit bad for leaving Blooky behind without a body. Mettaton wants to have his own comedy show, but he is much too lazy to have one. So, instead he sells cakes and other bakery treats. He is a bad cook as well, most of the time they are hardly cooked! However, he was seems to be a little shifty and secretive, especially about his past.

Napstablook with Papyrus' Role:
BACKSTORY: He was bright and cheery, and is always annoyed but his cousins puns. He wants to have a body of his own, and that's why he attacks Flowey, because he wants a flower body. But he never really had any friends, and eventually gives in to Flowey, saying that "a flower body is probably too much hassle anyway." He doesn't cook, but him and Mettaton love to perform together! He loves to watch Papyrus on screen and is in awe of him, his skeleton body. He was is good friends with Asgore, but only because Blooky was his pupil in piano class. Asgore encouraged him, so Blooky looks up to him as well. He can't cook, but he likes to outdo his cousin in pun offs! He never ate his cousins food, and prefers to "stick with the good stuff" and eat ghost food. He is annoyed by his cousin's laziness, but only because he promised he would help him find a body for him. He has snails instead of action figures and loves to race them with Mettaton.

Asgore with Undyne's Role:
BACKSTORY: Toriel and Asgore were both part of the Royal Guard together, but they birthed a baby, so Toriel has to retire. Then, Asgore found a human, but even with Undyne's orders, he couldn't kill it. They adopted it instead and they had a good family together. That is, until Asriel and Chara decided to go and do their plan. Toriel leaves him, and he finds it hard to do his duties. He let's every human go that passes him. His hobby is piano, so he started a class on it. He is still Head Of the Royal Guard, but Gerson put him there by suggestion to Undyne. Asgore wants to find Toriel, but he can't leave his post. He loves her very much. Asgore gave Mettaton cooking lessons, but Asgore wasn't the cook in his family, so there were pretty bad. Mettaton didn't even try anyway. Asgore also has a garden filled with buttercups.

Sans with Alphys' Role:
BACKSTORY: Gaster fell into his creation, so that left Sans to take his rightful place as the older brother. After Gaster's death, he became stutter-y and full of depression, thinking that he would never reach Gaster's standards. He still talks to Gaster like he's still there. Sans lives with his father's mistake, the amgalmates, and vowed to keep it a secret, which didn't boost his confidence. When Papyrus became a star, Sans left even more alone, and decided to do one more project. He brought Flowey to life where Asriel and Chara were buried.

Papyrus with Mettaton's Role:
BACKSTORY: Papyrus wanted to make his bro feel better, so he became a star for his sake. To make his bro proud. Papyrus has a false cheerfulness and pride and tries his best to hide his feelings for Sans' sake as well. Since it was his dream, be became a star, but it was a lot harder than he thought it would be. It became a hit as he indirectly encouraged people on screen and made them feel better. However, Papyrus wishes for a break and some time to spend with his brother. Papyrus tries to kill humans so he can set monsters free, and hopefully set himself free, and become a star on the surface. He wants to quit, but he is already in too deep and determined to make everyone feel more hopeful. "I'm sorry, Sans, but my dreams can't wait for anyone."

Undyne with Asgore's Role:
BACKSTORY:
Alphys and Undyne used to be the queens together. After Undyne's adopted child died do to the War, Undyne grew more and more bitter and shut her herself out. She made a vow to destroy all humans and banished Alphys from her kingdom when she wanted to argue. Now, she is in a state of depression without her wife, but still does what she thinks is right and kills all the human's who manage to come over to her Throne.

Gaster with Chara's Role:
BACKSTORY: He made the CORE and the amalgamates, but also injected DETERMINATION into himself. He fell into his creation, but didn't actually die do to his DETERMINATION. He became a being between monster and ghost and tried to watch over his sons, but he couldn't talk nor they could see him. He will try and fight you when you kill everyone.

HUMAN SOULS: The human SOULS are gates to each and every area, and each one must be used to open the golden gates. A there is a total of eight golden gates, including the barrier, that would need switches to unlock.

BARRIER: The barrier needs all the gates plus one SOUL to open. The humans trapped them in here with this advanced system in hopes of them never getting out.

CANNON SHIPS: Alphdyne (Alphys X Undyne) and Asriel (Asgore X Toriel).
