Chapter 14

** 3 Months Later **

"North Star Mall, North Star Mall, You know that we ball at North Star Mall!" Alex yelled as we walked into the mall. This place was huge. There was everystore you could imagine. Forever 21, Hollister, Hot Topic, Macy's. Austin and Robert were with us but Alex and I were hand in hand as we walked down the strip of stores. Alex dragged me into a store, whose nane I can't even say, and bought me and him matching canvas braid braclets.

"You two are so cute." Robert said as we exited the store.

"Aw shucks." I said.

"Do you want my sweatshirt? You look cold." Alex asked as he saw me shivering.

"Yes, please." I said taking his hoodie away from him. It smelt so good. I was wearing Alex's red sweatshirt, a pair of ink rinse skinny jeans and a pair of chesnut short Uggs. Alex was wearing a black long sleeve shirt and a pair of jeans. Austin was wearing a dark blue hoodie with a white shirt underneath and a pair of sweats occuponied by socks with sandals. Robert was wearing a dark green tee, basketball shorts, and a pair of Air Jordans. I was just about to ask Alex to bring me to Forever 21 when we heard a girl shriek.

"Oh my god!" she yelled. She was average height and slender. She was really pretty. Black hair with dark brown eyes. I must say, I was jealous.

"You, you're Austin Mahone! From YouTube!" she screamed. Her friend a tall blonde with bright blue eyes turned around and her mouth dropped. Austin had about 5,000 subscribers on YouTube and almost 10,000 followers on Twitter. He was getting popular, but this was the first time he was ever noticed by anyone.

"Hi girls." He said. He was more calm because they were younger than him. He took a few pictures and signed an autograph for Ashley and her friend. After they left we could hear them telling their friends on the phone that they just met Austin Mahone and his friends.

"I think thats our cue to go." Alex said.

"Yeah, lets go." Austin said heading to the mall exit.

"Pretty scary they recgonized him." Robert said.

"He's popular. It was gonna happen someday." I said.

"I am pretty popular! I got thousands of girls wanting my number!" He said winking.

"You should have got that Ashley girls!" Robert said.

"Man, she gave it to me! But I got my eyes on someone else." Austin replied giving Robert a slip of paper.

"She's gonna think it's you!" Robert said.

"Guys, don't text her. It'll lead her on." I said.

"You're right.." Austin said then turned to Robert and gave him a look. They were going to text her. Idiots.

"You sure we should do this bro?" Austin said.

"Yes!" Robert said grabbing his phone.

"Okay, heres the number." Austin said giving Robert the number.

*Hey Ashley. This is Robert, Austins friend. We met you earlier today at the mall.*

"Served." Austin said shooting a mini basketball into the hoop attached to his door. "Sam told you not to. Always listen to the ladies."

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Nothing! You don't have to get me anything!" Alex protested.

"You got me something so you're getting something." I said. Alex didn't want anything for Christmas but I wasnt letting that happen.

"Okay. I want you to be happy for Christmas." he said kissing my cheek.

"Yeah, well I'm not going to be because I'm not going to be here." I said. We were going to Maine for the holiday then coming back New Years Eve.

"All I want is you. But I already have you so I'm fine with nothing."

"I'll just ask Austin." I said walking away from him and going to sit next to Austin.

"Hey Sam whats up?" he asked as he copied down the stuff on the board.

"I need you to go shopping with me." I said.

"Oh, no. Hell. No." he said dropping the pencil and looking up at me.

"Not like that! You need to help me find a gift for Alex!"

"Oh! Okay. My mom is doing some shopping tonight so we can tag along with her."

"Okay. See you then." I said getting up from the table and going back to Alex.

"Hi Sam! Austin told me everything!" Mrs. Mahone said to me as I walked in the house giving her a hug. I was like her daughter, she told me.

"Now, I buy all the kids gifts so I need to know what you want." she said.

"It's fine. Really." I replied.

"Girl, stop fooling me. It aint workin." she said. She was so funny.

I'm gonna go upstairs and get Austin so we can get going." I sugested. I could hear Ustream going on but went in anyways. I usually watched to make sure all was going well. I walked in the room and told Austin we had to go. I could see the chat go crazy.

"This is Samantha. We are not dating. We're just friends. She's going out with my bestfriend, Alex." he explained to the camera as if he was talking to his fans in person. It was sweet to think he treated all the crazed fans like regular people he talked to everyday. I left the room and went back down stairs. Austin was down shortly.

"Shot gun!" I yelled as we approached the car.

"Darn it!" Austin screamed.

"Ha!" I said as I got in the passanger seat. Mrs. Mahone tried to make conversation with both of us but failed so she started to talk about Alex and I.

"You two are so cute together. You don't use too much PDA, which we all apperciate, and you're just perfect!" she said.

"Oh please dont say that. We are far from perfect." I stated.

"Well, I'm not the only one who thinks it." she left it at that as we parked and exited the car. Austin and I began to brainstorm ideas for gifts as we walked into the mall. We decided to get him a really cool phone case, since he's basically obsessed with them. I also thought it would be cute to get him a dog tag that said our names on it and the day we started dating. Austin bought him a new hat and Robert a basketball. I couldn't think of anything else to get him so I told Austin to put my name on it too. Austin was getting tickets for him and his mom to a Bulls game against the Spurs. That was from all three of us. His mom knew about it but he was going to go crazy. We weren't all going to be in San Antonio for christmas so we're all hanging at Austin's New Years Eve to exchange presents and celebrate the new year. We caught up with Michele who yelled at us to not look at anything because it was ours. We left the mall and headed back to the quiet neighborhood.

"I'll see you guys soon!" I said as I waved good bye.

"Bye Sam! See you Monday!" Austin said.

"Make sure you come over before you leave for Maine!" Mrs. Mahone yelled.

"Okay! Bye!" I said before entering my house. Christmas present in hand I ran up the stairs to put the items in a decorative bag. I filled out a card and stuck it next to the various other gifts I had already wrapped. One week until Christmas. One week until Maine. One week until I have to see my old best friend and my ex. Help.
