Chapter 18

I got to the movies and was greeted by Cody. He looked cute in his jeans and sweatshirt. I was wearing a pair of sweats and a loose shirt with a pair of Uggs. He offered to pay but I declined and payed for my own ticket. He bought some popcorn, which I stole during the movie, and we went into the theater. Everything was going well until we realized we went into the wrong one. We were supposed to see The Darkest Hour but ended up going into a R rated movie. We left quickly and went into the correct room. The movie wasn't as scary as the previews made it seem but I'm pretty sure the only scary thing happening in that theater was Cody trying to make moves on me. He pulled the yawn, and it just was awkward. We left the movies and walked through the plaza waiting for our parents to arrive and bring us home. I texted my mom to hurry since it wasn't going well. She was there within five minutes.

"Bye Sam. See you Monday." Cody said giving me a hug.

"Yep, bye." I said as I pulled away quickley and ran to the car.

"Diasater Date?" My mom asked.

"Worse."

"Harsh.."

"Well it wasn't actually a DATE. But maybe he thought it was.." I pointed out.

"Ohh." She said.

"Yeah, so can I go over to Austins?" I asked. He had texted me.

"Sure, but be home by 11." She answered as we pulled into the driveway.

"Kay, love you." I said as I ran across the street.

"Love you too!" My mom yelled after me. I went right into the house without knocking. It was like my second home.

"Sam?" I heard Austin say as he came down the stairs.

"Yeah." I replied. He stood at the landing in a pair of basketball shorts and a black tee.

"Are you coming up?" He asked.

"Yeah. I just wanted to talk to your mom real quick first." I said.

"Oh, she went to work."

"At 8 o'clock?" I asked.

"Yeah, she's weird." He said laughing. I followed him up to his room and fell onto his bed face first.

"What did you do today?" He asked.

"Nothing really. I was just at the movies with Cody." I said. He looked at me with a strange face.

"Sounds like fun." He said in a sarcastic tone.

"Yeah right. I was miserable the whole time." I replied to his comment.

"How? I thought you liked him.."

"Uh, no. I don't like anyone right now. Alex and I just broke up. I can't even think about dating someone until it's been a month. I'd look like a total slut, plus its a rule."

"A rule?" He questioned.

"Yes a rule!" I yelled.

"Okay."

"Whatever." I said.

"Oh no! You did NOT just 'Whatever.' me." He said turning away from his computer.

"I did. You gotta problem?"

"Yeah!"

"Come at me then, bro!" I said and he did. I put his whole body right on top of mine and began to what seemed like hugging. I was laughing as he tickled my stomach.

"Austin! HAHAHA- Stop!" I screamed.

"Say it!"

"Mercy! Mercy!" I yelled and he stopped. I gave him a death glare and stole his chair. "I should make a twitter."

"Yeah, you could keep my homies up to date on stuff." He said.

"Mahomies? That's great!" I said shocked at Austins creativity

"Yeah. I'm pretty smart, huh?" he said blushing.

"No. And I still dislike you for tickling me." I pointed out.

"I never tickled you." He said.

"Austin you came over and star-"

"You mean this?" He asked and it started all over again. I was laughing so much a could barely breathe. I tried to kick him but it didnt work. As soon as I was about to scream he stopped. I began to pant. He looked down at me and smiled. I gazed into his eyes and returned a smile. He then bent down and kissed me softly. All my thoughts stopped. Fireworks began to go off and I could feel butterflies in my stomach and sparks flying off my lips. As the kiss ended I saw Austins face go red and a smile beginning to form.

"Uh, I have to get a drink of water." I said then ran out of the room as quick as possible. Did I just kiss Austin? What was I going to do?

I came back up to the room about five minutes later. Austin was messing around with an upcoming video and he turned around and began to apoligize.

"Sam, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that. You had ju-" He was saying before I kissed him. He was suprised but went with it.

"I'm so confused." He said sitting down on the bed.

"Okay, I'll explain. You kissed me because you've liked me ever since I moved here and never got a chance to tell me because I was dating Alex. Don't ask me how I know, I have ways. So you kissed me and I liked it and I'm pretty sure I like you. Understand?" I said. He nodded.

"So, are we dating?" He asked.

"No, but it works out that you can bring me to Winter Carnival and we can become a couple then." I said smiling.

"Okay. What color is you dress?"

"I havent got it yet. Just wear a blue tie." I said. All he could do was smile. I loved it. His face was just perfect.

"I have to go." I said glancing at the clock. "Bye." I gave him a hug then he kissed me. I wouldn't have been late if he hadn't kissed me. The kiss turned into us making out for ten minutes.

"Shit Austin! I have to go! I'll come over tomorrow." I ran across the street and into the house. No one was awake si I gently closed the door and went upstairs. I checked my facebook. I had a message from Cody and a message from Alex. I deleted both of them. They meant nothing to me. I looked at my timeline and saw Austins status: great night with a great girl. cant wait for winter carnival next weekend.<3 Austin was so cute. There were tons of comments asking who but all Austin said was: wait and see.
