Chapter 17

"How could he do this to me? We were dating for months! Oh my gosh!" I cried and wiped my nose on a tissue. Austin had now seen me at my best and my worst. This was my worst. He tried to comfort me but it didn't help. I refused to go to school, go outside, even come down from my room I was so upset. Alex broke up with me and started dating Hailey the next day. I knew had to keep an eye on him but Hailey and I were friends. All she wanted was a charm braclet. The same one which I had flushed down the toilet. Plus, Hailey is a dumb slut. She'll give hin a blow job and think nothing of it.

"Sam, he's an idiot. Don't let him do this to you." He said holding my hand. I had totally forgotten the fact that Austin still had a huge crush on me. It was January 13th when Alex dropped me for her. We were supposed to go get matching outfits for Winter Carnival that next day. It was now January 17th and I still wasn't over him.

"He said I had nothing to fucking worry about. He's such a liar." I said wiping tears from my eyes.

"I agree. He's a dick. All he wants is some action." Austin added. I smilied and gave him a hug. He was a great friend. I never took what he had ever said to me to heart except now.

"You know what. I'm better than him. Yeah. I'm going to school tomorrow and show him what he's missing out on!" I said getting up from my bed.

"Okay, well I'm gonna go.." Austin said leaving but I didn't even notice. I showered and began to picked out my outfit for the next day.

I woke up early Friday morning so I could look perfect. I straightened my hair and french braided my bangs. I put on my favorite skinny jeans and a yellow long sleeve v-neck. I put on my white pastry's and examined my outfit. Not enough boob. I switched bras and my outfit was perfect. I went downstairs ate a bowl of breakfast then came back to room. I brushed my teeth twice and put on a whitening strip. I sat down at my vanity and apllied my make up. I put on volumizung mascara, a little eye liner, and a bubblegum pink lip gloss. I put on concealer and looked in the mirror. My make up was perfect. I took off the whitening strip and smiled. Alex was going to feel like such an ass.

My mom drove me to school that morning so I was l later than the bus. As I entered the school many of the guys in my grade said hi. I couldn't help but smile at the fact that I was getting so much attention. I walked up the stairs to get to Mr. Dixon's room. As I was walked down the hall I heard a guy yelling my name. It was Cody. He was one of the cutest boys in our class.

"Hey Sam, uhh, this is my number. Text me sometime," he said and walked away. This was going to be great. I continued to walk down the hallway recieving looks from both guys and girls. I opened the door and walked in as if nothing had happened and sat next to Austin. Robert was pissed at Alex too but someone had to sit next to him. I could feel the guys eyes on me. I looked up at Alex and he turned away. We watched the announcements and left the room.

"Sa-" Alex began.

"Yeah, don't even fucking try Alex. You have put me through so much shit. I can't even begin at how upset I WAS. I bet you regret it. That's good. But you're NEVER getting it back. Have fun with your whore of a girlfriend." I said and walked away. No one knew how good it felt to say that.

I went home that day and listened to the new Hot Chelle Rae album until my iPod died. I was texting Cody. He was actually quite sweet. None of the girls that I hung out woth had ever dated him and Austin didn't know him too well. I was basically starting ona blank slate. The only things I knew about him were that he played football and did the school news in the morning. We talked about school, family, and other topics. He brought up what movies were playing and I started guahing about how I wanted to see the darkest hour. He suggested he and I go. I was heisitant at first but said yes. It wasn't a date, we were just friends. At least thats what I thought.
