Chapter 23

Tuesday was much better. Mostly because I stayed home and watched re-runs on Nickelodeon. Austin would text me in between classes and said that he'd come over after school. I told him I was fine and he didnt need to come and see me because I looked liked total shit and he wouldnt want to see that. He seemed upset as if I said no I don't want you to come over. Well, I kinda did but hey, I needed to sleep and Austin coming over did not help that. He'd have me all next week. Our class was going to Washington DC for a week. We signed up for partners a long time ago. Thankfully I picked Dani and not Hailey. Austin and Alex were partners though. Austin tried to get Robert to ditch Zach but he couldnt switch. I could just tell this trip was going to be nothing but drama.

As you know Texas is a little far away from DC so we flew there on a plane. Austin and I got to sit next to each other and the flight was peaceful. We all knew that we would be so screwed up with the time difference even though it was only an hour so we didnt go to bed the night we got there until midnight. There were no phones allowed but Austin sneaked his so he could tweet. Having so many fans, he was at 100,000 followers and 75,000 subscribers, they might have thought he died if he didnt tweet for a week. He made some goofy videos like him poking the washington monument, posing like some of the statues, and all kinds of other things. We had only been there a day and Alex had already tried to pick a fight with Austin. Austin just walked away. The bad thing about partners is that you have to fill a packet out with them so we had to stay with our partners most of the time. I was fine with that since Dani and I were best friends, but having Alex and Austin be partners was trouble just waiting to happen.

"Okay, now we trust you guys so you will be able to go out on the boat. I must warn you. The 7 o'clock ride will not be over until 8:15. After you get off you may wander and look at monuments and then meet up here at 8. If you arent here at 8, you will not be able to meet the Vice President tomorrow." Ms. Vanderbolt said to our group. I was so excited. Everyone was dressed up because the boat was a semi-formal occasion. Austin looked so handsome. I just wanted to look at his perfect hair and smile forever.

"Oh I'm sorry." I said to someone as I acciedently bumped into them.

"Its fine, dont worry abo- Sam? Samantha Smith?" the man asked. I turned around not knowing how this random guy in DC knew my name. It was Rondo.

"Rondo?! What are you doing here?" I asked giving him a hug.

"Are you kidding? Why else would I be here?" He laughed.

"Sorry. Are the other guys here?"

"Naah. They stayed at the hotel. I just wanted to explore a little. Hard to say that I've never been here just to sight see. Now the question is, why are you here?" He asked.

"Class trip."

"Oh, I see. Well why dont I give you some tickets for tomorrow nights game." He said.

"Rajon, no. I highly doubt you have enough seats for the whole class. We've got like 160 kids. Theres no way you have that many. Plus the chaperones would never bring us to a basketball game." I said.

"You wanna bet?" He asked as he walked over to Ms. Vanderbolt. She suprisibgly knew who he was and said that she would talk to the others about it.

"Hey Austin! Come here!" I yelled over to him.

"Austin? Does Sam have a boyfriend?" Rajon asked.

"Yeah." I said smiling.

"Wha-" He began.

"Bulls. I know." I said knowing he'd ask.

"Yes?" Austin said as he walked over.

"I want you to meet Rajon Rondo from the Celtics." I said.
